Oh no, I wouldn't say that at all, you ought to see some of the crap I have cobbled up. I'll get an idea in my head and think it would look killer until I put it to steel

. The main thing is you did it, and I bet you had a hoot doing it, so do another one
Hey gringo, pick that file up and get busy

Yeah, wut a huut. I'm done fooling around with it. This is as far as this one goes. Did I EVER learn a lot from your example. Like a whole diffrnt thang. Blue is my favorite color so, went with this recond instead of some lumber. I'm proud to say the only things that came from the factory are the blade and the spring. Kinda wish I had used something other than nickle silver but I knew I could solder that so that's what I went with. I see others using some kinds of stainless and I have always had trouble soldering stainless. Maybe some 300 series or 400 series are better, don't know.

Very nice Mike... Very nice work. My wife walked in as I was looking at you knife and said "What a beautiful knife"
Give Stainless a try if you want 410 for liners and 416 for the bolsters, it solders like a dream just dont get it to hot. Also be very careful when grinding the bolsters after you solder them so they dont get to hot then either. A good rule is to hold them with you bare hand while grinding, if it's to hot to hold it's to hot for the solder, so dunk her in the water

Now that's flattery indeed! Ladies I know couldn't care less but then I'm single so maybe that explains it. Thx for mentioning it and thanks to your lady. Will try your suggestion and get some stainless. It will have to wait untill I get recoverred from this one tho. Maybe tomorrow???LOL
