Speaking of Slim Trappers with hard W&T snap....this Robeson by Queen RCSB has the hardest snap of any I have ever owned

That Robeson is a beauty Q ! Frame looks a bit longer than the Case ? I don't know what it is about the super hard W&T on the slimline's ... must have something to do with a long spring and relatively lightweight blade

Since we’re doing Slimlines, I think this is the only one I have, although I do like the pattern. Love the name - Ruby Stardust.

First trapper I should post for Trapper Tuesday is this Parker-Frost Next Generation with blue bones. When I let one of my boys pick my carry for the day, they pick this one 80% of the time.

thanks & some beauties there as well - love that red sparkle & blue is always

(I'm really liking Parkers lately - been picking up a few, mostly the smaller MIJ lock blades - usually require some tuning, but it's worth it)

I will post a few this week. First is a CASE XX stag scaled trapper that someone carried for so long that the stag is a smooth as glass with no bumps or ridges. Would love to have all the pocket change that wore this stag smooth. It is even wearing away at the edges. Whoever put this look on it, it is obvious that he cared for it. The second old worn trapper is my only Remington H-T-T. Poor condition but it wont leave my collection.

This was probably the 1st stainless steel knife I ever owned. Back then I had no idea how to keep an edge on it, near about wore the clip blade down trying to keep it sharp. I was even relieved when I had to put it away because of the broken pin. That started my affair with Schrade Walden knives as the local feed store sold them, carbon steel blades that I could sharpen.

Fast forward to my discovery of AAPK, there I learned the old Case 6254 10 dot could be repaired..Thanks to member Bob Picklesimer aka Elvis, the old trapper was repaired by Case. When the knife was returned to me, the 10 dots were hidden due to whatever Case did when they repaired it.

The blade was cleaned up and sharpened properly but repositioned..
Paying closer attention to the knife, thanks to AAPK, I discovered the spring that operates the spay blade was carbon steel, not an issue but a bit different, maybe a Friday afternoon 5pm job or an early Monday morning job.
It's an old friend, been with me 55 years, doesn't get much pocket time and it probably deserves the rest after being abused by a feller that back then saw it only as a tool.

Very interesting knives posted here. I especially like the older Trappers. I do not have a single Trapper in my accumulation, so I am really feasting my eyes on the ones posted here.

Dug this one out of my parts box. Thought one of the back springs was broken but it was a worn tang. Think l will try & revive it for an edc. Not sure what the covers will be yet.

A couple from the drawer. A never sharpen Case XX with red bone. Never being a fan of cracked ice scales the second , a KABAR wears a nice set. When I got the KABAR from a junk box it had a big boo boo on the main blade where it had been used to cut a live electric wire. Big burn and notch. Nothing to do but clean it up and and sharpen the gouge and make a wire stripper out of it.

All you have to do to get a blade like mine is find someone brave or stupid enough to cut into a high voltage wire.
