What’s your display wall look like?

I sure admire the ones you folks have posted on here. At the moment I don't have one after taking down all the Christmas decorations.
I'm still studying the project for possible ideas that would be suitable for this wall.

The plan is to remove the books and line the cubicles with felt, add shelving and plexi fronts, two have been done but I bought a couple lighted display cases after adding more knives. The cases are full so, here we go. next winters project.

That's a rack from a white-tail about 40 years ago. Friend of mine shot it. I kept it because it's very symmetrical. I'm a bird hunter, never shot a deer. J.O'.

You have a great collection, I like your latest Display case with the advertising knives. Are the knives on shelves or clips. I also saw one of your display cases your posted in 2023 hanging on the wall that looked to be 2 feet by 4 or 5 feet tall with a glass front. I ask because I am looking to build a case of that size and am curious if the door opens without issues because of weight of the glass. My current cases are 2 Ft x 2 Ft with glass doors and they work well.

David, Back in the 90's our Biology labs were refitted and they threw out all the old ones. Some were solid oak, others laminate. Being the scrounge I am,
I scarfed it up and recycled the doors for my cases. The frames are ripped down from 1 X 2's and the backs are lauan plywood. The right side stile happened to line up perfectly with a stud so I used four, long drywall screws on that side, 4 anchors on the left stile and 6 more anchors on the plywood back. That's plenty to hold the door when open. The shelves are clear plastic 3/4'" X 3/4" corner protectors from the "Depot", stapled to the plywood back. I used 5/16'" Arrow T-50's staples, (or maybe 3/8"?), spaced about every 4". Some of the bigger, heavier knives can make the plastic sag if the staples are too far apart. A simple little gate hook keeps it closed. Counting the hawks on the top, there are 157 knives in the display, quite a load. They stay free of dust and are nicely visible.

My favorite is the quarter-sawn oak bulletin cabinet from an 1880's church in Annapolis. It holds my better KA-BARS, OLCUTS, and UNIONS. I added a stained plywood back over the original to take the brads that hold the knives. The glass is original and nicely wavy.

I forgot to say your cases are very nice. Also, my door is very heavy because it's made from very thick, tempered glass. I'm sure if you use plexi or standard window glass it would be lighter. I thought about using plexi with glued-on muntin grilles for strength. Again, good luck and send pics. J.O'.

Awesome displays all!! Ridegrass, yours is very organized ... shows you have put a lot time and thought into it!
I have none on the wall, but part of my collections are displayed in the bottom of one of my store showcases. The rest are in the safe.
These are mostly Japan and Spain made, with a few USA and Taiwan in the mix.
It is time to add another shelf. Please pardon the glass reflections.

Some nice stuff shared here! I don't really have a setup at home, but in my office at work, it's all knife and America!

I like to display the repro cutlery tin signs...the framed print is of Walden, NY. I got it from Dimitri after our famous CSC trip.

This flag is made from old pallet wood. I made these with a co-worker, we made about 12 of them at one time...

This is a cut-down typesetters tray, a perfect size for a small knife display...The Glenlivet is for emergencies

I used to have these pics up in my old office, but haven't hung them up yet in my new one...they're of cutlery factories

All of these displays are AWESOME!!! I’m so jealous because I actually don’t have a room dedicated for my knives and don’t have a wall for displays. I have a small bonus room upstairs with one of those slanted roofs. So that pretty much rules out a wall. I do have this narrow curio cabinet (sorry for the poor pic), and other than that, I just have some space on top of a couple of cube shelves where I have my knife drawer boxes and a bit of space left over to put some out on display.

A lot of great displays being shown by you guys. I have what I call my man cave that has my knives displayed. I only have a few display cases, most that I built, but no wall displays. I will try to post a few pictures. The wooden chests and repurposed silverware cases all are nearly full and hold knives from a time when I was just beginning to collect knives. Overtime my collection grew and my storage methods changed I was appreciative of those that could afford authentic dealer displays, but I was not willing to pony up on what they cost thus my venture into building my own cases.
