All joking aside.
I think it should be easier to find knives without ball bearings than with in the price range you mentioned.
It's more expensive to build knives with ball bearings. Even my Sebenza uses washers.
Benchmade, ZT, Spderco, Boker, on and on all make knives with washers.

Re: Need to find brands that have knives without ball bearings
I bought two today:
S&W M&P https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XR ... UTF8&psc=1
Steel Will Lanner https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QQ ... UTF8&psc=1
S&W looks pretty good, I pick the ones with 8Cr13MoV blade, which is OK for the price. I am not too worry about the edge retention, more the toughness that I am looking for.
I am even thinking about buying this one, Only $15!!! Hell!!!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082L ... 0DER&psc=1
I am not a collector, it's for self defense, collector value doesn't mean a thing to me, all the designers and all. In ideal world, I never have to use it, just sharpen it real sharp and not use it for cutting anything. It just have to survive one time, one time that counts and it can hold up that one time.

A lot of Ganzo's don't have the ball bearings, but some do. Check out power cutlery, it will say in the description if it has bearings.

If they have ball bearings they will be listed in the specs.
