Good for you sharpshinyknives, and thanks for posting the pictures. That is a beauty. I'm generally a Tidioute guy, but I may try for the Northfield 33 since I couldn't snatch a Tidioute. They will probably also go in 1.5 seconds anyway!
A nice sized little folder, and very nice handles. Enjoy.

Well I just nailed a 33 Conductor on knivesshipfree.com, happened to be sitting by my phone and jumped on the email immediately. This is a sambar stag Northfield, while I would have rather had a Tidioute but I was glad to get either. I tried agins 4 or 5 minutes later to check for fun - GONE!.
In 2020 with GECs you snooze you lose, and maybe even if you don't snooze.
I have an order number, confirmation email, and paypal confirmation, but I am not going to be too confident until it's in my hand.
This is getting like Beanie Babies...

I got one of the stags from TKC today. For once their email telling me it was going to drop at 12 EST wasn’t directed to my Junk mail. I missed out on getting another one from KSF, I didn’t see it until it had been there for 40 minutes. TKC only had about a dozen or so and it said limit of 2 per person, but if you tried to buy a second one and it was sold out it became a mad dash to get that out of the cart, get back to the inventory and buy again, only to repeat the cycle all over again. The idea that you could get two was nearly impossible, unless you had a very fast computer. I wonder if anyone was able to purchase two at a time? If they hadn’t listed them individually and given you the choice of handles, it would have been possible. But I am glad to be able to see the handles, even if it was for only a few seconds before purchasing.

Franks Classic Knives takes well care of me. I already have the #33 jigged bone Tidioute in my possession . My knives are getting stuck between Waynesville ,NC & Greenville , SC. I think it was virus problems last time. Mr. Frank is 75 years old and still selling knives. His wife picks up knives from and takes the orders to Post Office. I just love to support the old folks. My Sambar Stag #33 Conductor should be coming in soon. I got two Northfield #23LL knives on pre-order. It won't be long before the #35 Beer & Sausage production line photos start showing up. Bring on the #35 knives and bring on those bovine cattle bone shipments.

Lucked out with a quick one. No time to pick and choose. I just grabbed the luck of the draw; then, went back and looked. Not very well matched, for thickness...but surface looks OK. Takes what you cans.

I think CollectorKnives stool has some stag that was left over from the standby’s. First come first serve basis. Also, he states that these are not spectacular specimens.

Here’s the specimen I received in the mail... I love it. It’s a sambar stag but I'm calling it smooth stag and has the look of orange bone. Best of luck. Grab a pocket slip too, they are very nice

Thanks for the heads up, just grabbed one and a pocket slip. GEC are impossible for me to get unless i want to pay way over the top on the secondary market, and i really wanted one of these after missing out so many times, and i wanted one of those slips anyway. So thank you very much, and you have a good day and week.

Thanks mate, i was very lucky, was informed by Mike that i scored the last one, will probably take a while to get here, but i'm used to that with all the disruptions with covid-19. Will show photos when i get it, sorry you missed out, but thanks for your best wishes.

fishin1635, thank you for the 'heads up'. I think the stag on your Conductor looks GREAT !
The 33 is perhaps my most favorite GEC pattern and i like pen knives even more than jack knives.
I have a magnificent Northfield ivory conductor from 2011 but i like the look of your's so much i went to Collector knives and managed to score one.
I did this some hours after cudgee's post saying he had scored one. But if cudgee's was the last one then i hope i get something; i.e. that a mistake has not happened.
Have not yet received a shipping notice.

I’m signed up on for early reserve notifications w/ CK, where did you guys get your ER notices on these latest ones? Nothing came through to me. I have had trouble with the Telegram app that Mike is using and wonder if I have my settings wrong.
I started being added to groups on Telegram I never joined, and it kind of ticked me off and I might have gone too far in blocking them.

I'm really liking these. I know some had gaps, but the 5 I have handled were all really good to great.

I am also signed up for the early reserve notification by email, i would not use the Telegram App advised by CK, you have to go down an path that i was not comfortable with. I don't trust it. I heard nothing, i found out through the good will of a member who posted a link on this thread. I just happened to be on my computer when he posted and got straight onto the CK site through his link, just plain lucky.

Have just received notice from CK that my Conductor has been shipped. As i got to the CK site many hours after cudgee i might have actually gotten "the last one". Mike did say he would select the best for the first person to order and then send next best to second person, etc. So mine might not be as fine as the one shown by fishin1635.
Might be awhile before i have it as it is being shipped to my USA address in Northport WA. and the Canada/USA border remains closed to "non-essential" travel. If it is not opened up in a month's time i will ask the Northport 'Postmistress' to forward it on to my Canadian home address. Small towns are very good for giving personalized service. Northport has a population of about 310 people.

Dude. I'm glad I don't live "Down Under". It would drive me insane (or crazier than I already am) to wait a month and a half for my knife. I'm barely able to cope with 3 or4 days. BUT, I gotta tell you. the 33 is one of my favorite patterns and I'm glad I got one in 2011 when they were easier to acquire.
