I like to use a simple backdrop. You can make the photo to "busy" with lots of weird stuff and your real focus is the knife. I try to use all white most of the time, all black is good also.
Singing uses the glove, it's a great touch, and not busy at all. Hukk same thing, a simple backdrop that doesn't rob your subject.

I'll post an all white, with natural light, a simple pose, and a real busy one.

I like to take pics outside, I haven't perfected the inside shot indoors, and btw great abalones Hukk ::tu::
It's the early bird that gets the worm but it's the second mouse that gets the cheese.
