EVH... This IS the support group.
It's a self medicating bunch of enablers that will never stop sucking in new/used/mint or broken knives.
There is no way out.
Just as my own opinion, what ruins knives are people that sand/grind/and buff the lines out of them. You can easily spot a knife where all the crisp, and straight lines on the blade or handles have been rounded or softened.
I watch a lot of blacksmithing videos, and in particular Japanese sword making.
The lines are razor sharp, the edges are crisp, and true.
If you can carry this thought into your work, I believe THAT is one of the signs of a talented knife smith/mechanic.
