Very nice!

That's an old stamp and the knife is in amazing condition for its age.

Thanks Jerry H. It''s a very small knife but it's in great shape and by far the oldest one I have so far. I'm well satisfied!

Congratulations on you historical Case purchase Greg.

Very very hard to locate this tang stamp.
It deserves a 24K gold Lanyard/Bail.

Great knife Greg. Fine gentleman you purchased it from. A word of caution however:

That is an understatement Tom! That is my second knife from this gentleman and both have been stellar!

Thank you everyone for your comments about this rare knife. I am always happy when the buyer is pleased with a knife I sell. And, yes, I am protective of my good reputation, therefore the reaction I had. My apologies again for overreacting. No knife people like to think they are peddling counterfeit, or at best mislabled, knives. I have another small Case Bros again on ebay but it is pearl. Case Brothers knives and Case Manufacturing knives are 2 of my favorite to collect.
Again, thank you all for being true knife people. If I do happen to offer for sale, a counterfeit knife, I will hop[e that this group of knowledgable knife people will call my attention to it. I am a purist, I guess, but I would immediately pull it from the market. I, no more than you, want to help knife counterfeiters succeed in making money by fraud. This site and all of you are much appreciated for your insight and always helpful comments. If I have this opportunity again, I will relish discussion and perhaps debate. Thank you all, thank you AAPK.

Old Folder wrote:I was fortunate enough to obtain the below Case knife in May 1993. It is my oldest and most prized Case knife and has the same Case stamp as the above knife in conversation.
The tang is stamped: (Case Bros. Cut. Co.) Many historians would date that this knife was made between 1900-1914. But....Allen P. Swayne's book, (Mentioned in my above post) would date this knife to be between 1896-1900.
Wow thanks for all the Info, Love that knife of yours.

Nice find Scott - nice old lobster pattern, shame the pearl is broken. What’s the other side like?
