My day at the show started with a visit to GEC about mid morning. My cousin Bill and I got behind another couple with the owner, to take the impromptu tour. This was very interesting not only in the fact of how the knives are made but as he would point out, that polisher came from Buck knives, that press used to be at Schrade and those grinders came from Case.
After the tour I was in the office picking out my new #73 Scout burnt stag trapper. It was sure nice to have four to choose from and I got a dandy.
Cousin Bill was in the lobby when I found him and he said, I belive that was David Anthony that we took the tour with and they both just left
Talk about small world stuff.
Later at the show we ran into them and after introductions, David and I talked knives and cousin Bill and Deb talked dogs. Deb did stop talking dogs long enough to take my book order
Those two are both super people and it was great to meet them.
The show was very nice with tons of friendly people and GEC was very well represented. We had a very nice day and look foward to the next one. Take care folks. Mike

[quote="upnorth"]kiferbros, here's the Smethport below.
you know knives get lonley without others from the same manufacturer in the roll with them this one I think should be in our knife roll with it's cousin.
On another note the Queen show was gerat, finally met a few of the crew from the list here and got to show off a few and even managed to find a few jems that you all overlooked
great show now it's time to start getting ready (saving) for case next year
