Robeson Razors

The first Robeson knives were imported by Millard Robeson from England and Germany exclusively. This continued from 1979 until 1896 when Robeson began manufacturing knives in the United States. Since inception, the company has gone through several reorganizations & eventually ended up as a Queen Cutlery brand.

I have seen a few of these little Robeson razor booklets.

Judging from the men and clothing depicted, these were from the early 1900's.

I own this one.

Dang it Charlie! That's one heck of a display you've just put on. Heck I didn't even think I wanted to collect razors till now.

After looking at these I would say Robeson sold a lot of straight razors compared to other major knife companies of the day ::nod::

Those are all beautiful Charlie! ::drool::

Thanks all.

I have collected several photos of Robeson razors over the years that have been listed and sold on Ebay.

Some of them sold really well.

The fancy pearl handled one sold for $218.00 and the one with the snake handles fetched an astounding $685.00.

The black and red handled self-advertiser had a nice ivoroid covered tang.

The aluminum handled razor was very nice and there is, at this moment, one like it listed on Ebay.

Robeson made specialty razor display cases.

I seriously doubt the razors in the first case are actually Robesons. They all appear to have a naked lady type handle.

I have never seen such a handle on a Robeson razor.

Apparently, they also sold a seven day razor set in a nice little ivoroid box.

This is the only such box I have ever seen.

I think it probably had a cloth lining in it originally. The inside looks so austere just sitting there empty like that.
