Prayer request for Kevin

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Kevin, Yolonda and their kids were at our house Sunday afternoon. Our family is so large and spread out that it is difficult to get them all together at the same time, so typically we celebrate Christmas two or three times over the course of the holiday whenever they can show up. Sunday afternoon my three oldest daughters and their families were all able to get together at our house to celebrate Christmas. Kevin was feeling well enough that he was able to come and really seemed to enjoy himself. They stayed for about 4 or 5 hours until he was getting pretty tired and they went home. I think this was a good sign.

After Christmas Kevin begins another round of chemo in preparation for a bone marrow transplant. He is far from well, but I was encouraged to see that he had a good appetite and seems to hold up pretty well to the house full of people, (which pretty well wore me out).

Yolonda is finishing up her externship next month in an Ear, Nose & Throat clinic. She loves it and the doctors there like her. As it looks now she may go to work for them as soon as the externship is finished. That will be a big relief from her from school and her evening job.

I am thankful Kevin is doing so well, but please keep Kevin and Yolonda in your prayers as he has a long way to go yet before the cancer is beaten.

God bless you all and have a Blessed Christmas.
