rehandles can be done with a minimum of tools but if you are doing them in quantitty good tools are a neccesity. On some of my first rehandles I only used sandpaper, files and a dremel tool. It can be done, it's just very labor intensive

Yep it turned better than thought it would. and Muskrat Man you got that right about the lack of tools. I used a Jig saw to cut the rough shape and a pocket knife and a small round end carving knife and a wood rasp to hollow out the handles! It took an awful lot of sanding to get the final shape It took for ever then,but I have a Dremel tool now!

Unfortunately, this project has been put on the back burner. My car's engine died, so I am having to sell some pocket knives and fountain pens to rustle up some cash. I hope to one day revisit the idea, but for now the original scales are clipped back on.

The next step in this process has been taken. I sent the barlow off to muskrat man today.
