I sold a knife to Charlie Noyes or tried to at least (long story)...I would recommend contacting him about your questions, he is about the best out there for any information on Robeson. He also seems to be a class act and would be a nice friend to have if you plan on collecting Robeson knives.

Singin was asking about my lightbox I used for knife photography. So I decided to unveil my "Top Secret" graphic lab to my fellow knifers..

I actually don't have a lightbox its more like a photo table...A while back I built my wife a craft room with lights, tables, shelves and plenty of space to do her crafts. The secret was I had to make it fit into a closet (yeah I know I said plenty of space, its all from what angle you look at life that determines if its big or small ), anyhow I did that and she never used the ultimate crafting area. So I have taken over the area for my knife photos. Its nothing special, it has a cheap fluorescent light mounted under a shelve and I use a craft magnifier light to move into place to get the appropriate light.

That's it, nothing special and extremely low cost since I had everything here at the house. I am so boring I bore myself at times..

I've included my newest pic taken of the Great Eastern Tidioute Amber back just received in the mail today from Bryan's Knives. I like the results..

OK, now I get it, 2 light sources. Very interesting I knew there was something different about your pics. Light diverting light, very clever.

Here is my light box. I've showed this to a couple members already in the chat room. My cousin and I put it together one evening when the better half was not home . My lady wasn't too happy when she came home to find it in our main room. ...can't imagine why not???

I may have overdone it just a little.

Oh,oh.. If you think your pictures are not too good that means mine must be terrible..

Your pics look pretty good to me Bryan..Especially when I go to your knife store and I can't see that good because the drool is running down the computer monitor as I see what you have for sale..

Bryan, I don't think you need to worry about your pics, they look alot better than mine. My problem is I can't stop buyin knives long enough to

I like the red best. I have had best luck with tan or black.

EDIT: Wood does make a good background, as Bryan suggests

I like the reddish background best. I think the knives contrast much better against that backdrop. Especially the blades.

hey bryan, it is from a wood cigar box from the honduras, no idea what it is. my local smoke shop is run by one of our members and saves some of the good ones for me. i plan on using the boxes for knife displays. i have used wood before outside and wanted to try some indoors in my lightbox.

I agree johnnie, the red looks best. imo

Think the red pops a little more which I like but all really look great. Can see everything really well.
