Excellent Tuxedo JP. Very hard pattern to find in as good of shape as that one. Usually worn, or scales cracked or loose. Congrats on a very nice addition to your Camillus Family.

Thank you Marco. I am grateful that skilled artisans did some replicas of Mr. Lum's patterns as the originals are mostly beyond my financial reachl.

I picked up this one for my sister. It is by the Japanese artist Shuho Eguchi. The engraving is done on pure copper. Then it is gilded with silver and gold. Mr. Eguchi has been practicing this traditional art form for 40 years.

Whilst trolling the bay recently, managed to dredge up this 1993 Kane Cutlery PA (but made in Germany) whittler in Elephant. Never had a Kane and was pleasantly surprised at the smooth action, fit/finish, build quality and pretty much all the workings of the knife. All around feels very nice. Tight no wobble, smooth as silk, good snap but no nail breaker. Well built and finished knife. But of course it was the ivory that got me. And it was listed as composition scales. Well maybe this is all they go for, but it sold for 4 dozen smackers and that wasn't even my highest bid. Shocked and awed that it sold so low. Never know, but still managing to score Elephant with all the bans and laws in place against the trade. And since the sellers always label it as something it's not, sometimes it sells for the plastic, composition, or the micarta price. Score another for the underground and god bless the ivory that gets through the cracks. ::super_happy::  ::pray::

Received this one in the mail today, another addition to my Craftsman Family. A Craftsman 9522 Equal End Jack 3-3/8" closed. It has the Craftsman Blade Etch with "Craftsman" having the long tail that underlines the entire word, and "Forged Steel" beneath with the pattern number to the right of the etch. This dates this to around 1948 as after 1948 Craftsman dropped the 9522 and replaced it with the 9466. As per the 1948 Sears Catalog, the 9522 has Chrome Vanadium blades, Plastic imitation Staged Handles, and Nickel Plated bolsters. The blades have good snap, have some of the original luster, the blade etch is still visible, but do have spotting. The handles have some minor shrinkage, but are not warped. The only thing I've done to it is oil the joints. I have posted more about it and the dating of it in the Schrade Craftsman section of the forum.
