Nice old stockman Paul. HOK!
Looks all all bases are covered there homer!
These today...
CASE XX 6265SAB Dark Red Worm Groove Bone
CASE XX USA 1973 64047P
Also, my current EDC pile. All CASE of course from TESTED era through 1970s' which is my personal "era/ date range" sweet spot. I personally limit to only 20 EDCs. I end up giving one away at times and only then do a pull another from my collection knives to transition to a permanent EDC. I personally never carry collection knives. Just how I do it.

Thank you Jerry. I like your method, downsizing my edc pile would be a good thing but it's hard to do. You have a most excellent selection.zp4ja wrote:Nice old stockman Paul. HOK!

zp4ja, great group shot, plenty of drool material for hours. I have noticed lately those old Case Hunters have some of the best bone and antler around on those oldies. That bone on yours is incredible, the different colors in there are mesmerizing. Looks like everything from white to black with all kinds of reds in between. Wow.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thanks for the compliment Paul. LOL, It took me years to build up to 20 EDCs! I remember it took a full year of consideration to pull a never used, mint XX, USA or 70s' dotted knife (can't recall exactly which era or year it was) from my collection. Pulled one to start and went from there. I picked up a few from members that I bought as EDC's that never saw collection status. 20 EDCs will last me personally a lifetime so I see no sense in carrying mint old knives just because I can. I delineate between EDCs and collection and it works for me for use/ enjoyment and preservation of history. We all do it different.KnifeSlinger#81 wrote:Thank you Jerry. Thanks for the compliments Ivoryman. Those CASE Hunters (outside bottom left and right) are both second cut bone and/or second cut stag. I know the green bone on the left is second cut bone. The orange colored one on the right is second cut stag in my observation. At very least second cut bone. The second cut bone and stag have different material density so the dye color takes way differently than the first cut "bark" if you will. Pretty easy to spot based on that but you have to do some searching to find one. Hope one crosses your mailbox someday.Ivoryman wrote:zp4ja, great group shot, plenty of drool material for hours. BH, I have the twin of the Imperial. It’s a little beauty.
When I first saw the toothpick, those scales had me convinced it was a Richards. Apparently not!
I can’t quite make out the tang stamp. What is it?
I’m too young to be this old!

QS, what's the story on the Tree Brand (?)Quick Steel wrote:P1030184 (2).JPG
Looks like a hybrid toothpick/copperhead/linerlock with a thumbstud ....
Torched bone or stag ? I assume a cut-out for the stud where your thumb is ?
Very interesting piece of cutlery ... you have me intrigued

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Well Chris you have identified most every feature. It is a stag, copperlock, with liner lock, and thumbstud with cutout. The thumbstud does not fascilitate one hand opening as the blade is too thin for that, i.e. insufficient leverage. But the stud does provide a super easy two hand opening.
