I'M HIT!
A DRIVE-BY BOMBING BY SCOTT!! (well, kinda sorta a drive-by. He does say he came racing in 😄)
20200629_125132.jpg
I don't know how he got hold of my address so I never saw it coming.
The coffee scoop is beautiful, a true piece of art, and will used with pride every morning.
The Funny Car will get a space in my parking lot (once I finish getting it built!).
And the knife will take up residence on my desk, at the ready for any task that may be in need of a sharp edge.

Scott, thank you. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. I'm a blessed man. 👊🤝
Take care and God bless,

Knock me over with a feather because I don't know what to say...I'm speechless...overjoyed and thrilled...but totally speechless.

Thank You, Ivoryman...You definitely DA MAN! ::not_worthy:: I am not worthy.

And then, as if that weren't already enough...another low pass over the target and BOOM!! my fate is sealed.

Thank You and Thank You again, Ivoryman...you really outdid yourself on this epic bombing run. Truly one for the ages.
::super_happy:: ::super_happy::
I'm still reeling from the shock to my core from the green Jade bomb so ahhhh, haven't really been the same since. Really made me think about things. And it was such above and beyond call of duty and valor that it stunned me. True mental shell shock. No lie. So it's you that is really the man. Not me. It's you that's worthy, and started it all. I owe probably more than half my whole knife roll, and literally the roll itself, to you Q. Hand me downs from uncle Q and sell offs from ya and knives you tipped me off to or helped me get, or just plain dropped on me like you did Jade are the very foundation of my knife career. So let the record state your honor with my hand on the good book that whatever Q taught me stuck enough to spy that grain and tusk on that little coke bottle Catt and know a good deal when I saw it, and then to pounce. Q taught me that. And the whole tusk lust thing and all. He got me into that. Totally responsible. And don't know when they quit making Catts but I believe it's more than enough vintage to describe the depth and length of the duration of my complete respect and admiration for my elder blade brother Q, and partner in crime, brother from a different mother, who is one I look up to and admire and try to be like in many ways. I don't always say the right thing, and my mouth's too big because it has both my feet stuck in it so often that it gets in the way but everything knife in my world starts with Q. And it's truly and honor to read your reaction. As is reading all the stunning commentary here from all the other gentlemen that commented. I was prepared for Q's words and know him enough to know what to expect. The rest of you I was not. It's truly and honor and a humbling, stunning reverberation that goes through me when I read stuff like that when I really didn't expect to see it. Wasn't even thinking of it. But I really appreciate the comments and being associated with such men and to hopefully walk with them through the valley of the shadow of death as far as knives go. Thanks all in the most sincere sense of the word.

Got bombed yesterday! Found this money clip in my mailbox. The bomber left no note, but going by the return address I have a guess as to who it might have been. If it is, I know they have quick access to a runway!
Thank you!

Well, don't keep us in suspenders. Share your guess with us. That's a nice looking little money clip. I carried one similar to that for years. It advertised Clark Fork Lifts. A friend gave it to me. I haven't carried it in years but I still have it around here someplace.

I did a little sleuthing here on the sight. The package originated in Portsmouth, NH, the address only 8 miles from where I used to live in Dover, NH. Believe it or not, I found a clue from "doglegg" Floyd of Texas, that leads me to believe the bomber was glennbad. Pease Air Force Base (former home to the 509th Bomb Wing, how appropriate) there in Portsmouth was active at the time I graduated from Dover High in 1980, so I'm sure AF items are quite easy to find, if the bomber didn't carry this himself.

Thanks again to the bombardier!

I was expecting the Case Mini-Trapper in a swap with Steve. I was not expecting a second package. The name on the return address wasn't familiar to me until I opened it up and saw the card.
Camillus Custom by DocB - Car & Card.JPG
And check out the little GTO Hot Wheels he sent along with it. How cool is that!!!!!!

DocB blew me right outta the water. Totally unexpected and totally out-bloody-standing. A custom based on a Camillus 27 Electricians knife. Not only that, it has my screen name for a shield. Jim, how in the name of all that's good and plenty did you do that. It's superific and on top of that a small Marine Corps Emblem inlet into the handle. Holy Jehoshaphat!! This bad boy is just the cat's meow. I'm out of platitudes. Here she is.

THANK YOU JIM!!!!!
It's already up on my "Love Me" shelf above my desk.

Glad you like it Jerry! Now that the "cat is outta the bag"...I can finish the "Deconstructed / Reconstructed what?" thread, that I started. Just now sitting down to dinner. Will complete the thread, in a bit, with pictures, showing the shield (from a dogtag).

Dave, that's a neat lookin' nut cracker. Scott knows what he doing, most of the time. ::poke:: Being bombed on AAPK is a pleasant surprise. I was sitting in my recliner watching the news and shelling peas this afternoon when Miss Joy comes in with a big ol' envelope from Pennsylvania. She wanted to know what I had ordered? Nothing was my reply, I hadn't ordered anything. This quickly escalated into a big time bombing! Seems that Stanwade felt like the old man need a bit of cheering after going through the MRI. Ryan, it did cheer me up, my cyber friend! When the bomb detonated it revealed 2 Queens a Sabre along with a tube of Quick Release! The Queen Barlow has the one arm opening blade and is of the same construction as the Queen #27 that I asked about earlier today. This on has the Q76 stamp and is unbelievably light weight due to the aluminum frame that encases the springs. The bolsters are also part of the frame. The little Sabre trapper is a #614. Ryan suggested it might be a good knife for a beginner. The big Queen kitchen knife is stamped #B408 and it needs good sharpenin'. I'll find a place for it in the kitchen knife block. ::tu:: Let me just say if you haven't tried the Quick Release oil you're missing out. I'm ashamed to say I haven't bought any in several years but it is good stuff!
Thanks again, Stanwade! ::handshake::
