Thank you for the compliments on the Valley Forge, it's my new favorite. Might have to sleep with it under my pillow.

Thanks fella's. ::tu:: ......I like it ,Mike.....it seems to be a very well built knife....HIGH quality. ::nod::
I believe it to be a display model.....the mark side stag has a dull gray tinge look to it while the pile side is fresh and bright. ::shrug::
I can't imagine it being so poorly mismatched. ::hmm::

Boy Bill, Queen sure makes a pretty whittler - I like that one... ::tu::

Here's something old and something new that came in the mail the last few days. Believe it not, I think the old Shapleigh toots my horn about as much as the GEC.

Anyone have a rough date on the Shapleigh? She sure snaps like a gator, and you can still see the etch.

Here's a Buck 111 Classic from the early 1980s. Scrolled aluminum handles - still in the plastic. I've had this one a while - just getting around to posting some pics.

Welcome to AAPK. It really is a great place for those who love knives. Take time to check out the Board Index and see all the speciality forums. One of those specialty forums is Knife Commerce where all the selling, trading and advertising of web sites selling knives takes place. Here's a quick link for you. http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... m.php?f=49

I'm glad you found us and hope you stick around.

As far as posting pictures, it's easy peasy lemon squeasy.

Method #1 - When composing your post, look up at the line that contains the buttons for Bold, Italic and Underline print. You will find the Img button towards the right side (I see you already found the album button) and click on it. It will put (img][/img] in your post. Paste the URL of the picture you want to post between the two bracketed commands as I've shown in the following example. I've substituted a parenthesis for the leading bracket so the command would show.
(img]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_87NnYBM8OQQ/T ... /knife.jpg[/img]
You can use a picture either from a photo hosting site or a picture from the web as I've shown in my example. No spaces are allowed in that command string. The picture will show up in the post, exactly where that command string is.

Method 2 - Just below the post composer is a small section titled Upload attachment. Click on the Browse button, find the picture on your computer you want to post, highlight it by clicking on it with the left mouse button, left click on the Open button in that window and come back to the Upload Attachment section and you will have something in the white Filename box. Left click on the Add the file button and wait for the picture to upload to AAPK. Use the Preview button to check your work. Pictures will all be grouped at the bottom of the post unless you use the Place Inline feature.

Give it a try. I hope I haven't confused you.
