These two made it through the postal system and landed in my mailbox today. I'm quite pleased with both of them. It's the handles that does it for me.

Jerry, the Trapper in the bottom photo is very appealing to me. From here it looks to be smooth bone which is a great favorite of mine.

Beautiful re-do Iman! Looks far better than the original! I search Paul knives all the time, and I've never seen one in Ivory, so yours is very likely a one-of-a-kind! I was a split second away from acquiring a Lone Wolf Defender for an unbelievable price,(US$172.) but the day after the order was placed I got an email and refund claiming the knife was no longer available. BUMMER, huh! It seems the company had changed hands and the new owner wasn't even aware that the knife was posted where I found it, which was through a Google search, so it apparently had been sold awhile ago! Was pretty disappointed for a day or so, but, put it behind me and kept on searching. They have about 8 Defenders at Knivesshipfree, but price tags of nearly US$900., so way outta my league! Maybe some day! Again, nice score! 8)
Outa my league I guess. Hear hear. Thanks for the compliment. Keep looking, if you ever find a cheap ugly one, let me know we'll put some ivories on it. Right on. Thanks again.

It is smooth bone. He has more. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RR845-Rough-Ri ... 2749.l2649
Don't pay any attention to his pictures. They're very dark but as you can see from my picture, the knife is fine.

I agree that the smooth bone is very nice looking. And I really like the blade profile, especially the spey.

I got 5 mint Queen # 45M 3 3/8 closed with the box and the little metal knife. Not sure what it is
It’s 3” closed with what appears to be a plated blade. No name on it. I thought it was a fruit knife but when it came in it is not.

Congratulations, that is quite a package, ludwig26! I've never run across a 45M in my ramblin's other than seeing them on ebay. Even the Big Chiefs are few and far between in out part of the world for some reason. ::shrug::

Perhaps in a few months I'll be sending you a couple of my knives for handle repair?

You may want to think twice about that Dan.
As a matter of fact I have 2 old knives that have good blades, but the rest of the knife is junk. I've already taken them apart and ordered some Curly Maple wood to rehandle them.

Got a new Mcusta to add to the collection. It’s called the Stingray, for obvious reasons. The handles are anodized aluminum with real stingray skin inlayed into the handles. VG-10 stainless blade. Oiled washer system for silky smooth deployment. Also posted in the Mcusta thread w/ a little more detail if interested.

Not a knife, but a knife book. It's simple, easy to read and best of all it has pictures!
That's great for a dummy like me who loves to write, but can't stand to read.
