A Camillus 72 Yellow Jacket in the yellow delrin handles. Blades are tight with no wobble, great snap, but do have small scratches, and I need to do a sharpening and a little work on the coping blade to even the edge. The Yellow Jacket etch is present on the master blade but a little weak. Other than that a great addition in a variation I didn't have.![]()

I live in the State of Alabama. One of our major universities is The University of Alabama. The Footbal Team is known as The Crimson Tide, and the favorite cry for them is "Roll Tide". Their mascot is an Elephant. I've always been an Alabama Football fan so..... I claim I live in Roll Tide Country.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Well, I actually received this one yesterday, but waited until today to post about it.
Another addition to my Camillus 72 clone family, a Ulster 63 Swell center whittler. It was in rough shape, but the blades have no wobble and great snap. The handles are in decent shape but do have a small crack at the lower center pin. The blades were stained, the tip of the master clip blade was broke, and the secondary small clip blade was missing and looked like it had been shorted against something electrical. The metal around the break showed signs of being heated. But this being a hard variation to find in excellent shape I saw potential in it. I figured I could clean it up and it would be a good filler until I find one in better shape. But here are photo's of it when I first got it. So, I cleaned it up, re-profiled the tip of the Master blade and the secondary clip. Gave it a warm mineral oil bath and worked out all the gunk, flushed with some wd-40 then oiled the joints and polished the bolsters. I think it turned out well, and makes a nice addition. Oh.....and it cost me $14. The bottom two photos are out in bright sunlight.

Appreciate it Cudgee. I like the Cattle dog in your icon. My brother-in-law had one that lived about 15 years. Passed away a couple years ago. They are such fun and smart dogs.

Had a surprise this morning, this was in my Post Box. This is an exceptionally well made knife, as was my last Case 1/2 whittler, with one major difference. The scales.
These are smooth antique bone, and they look devine. The color and texture are simply stunning, any one out there who is looking at purchasing a Case with smooth antique bone scales, don't hesitate, just do it. If you have the luxury of being able to inspect and handle before you buy, you will be spoiled for choice.

That smooth bone is one of my favorites. I use to have half a dozen of those in different patterns and not a dog in the bunch. I still don’t know how Case gets such great color and jigging on their bone handles?
Very nice Derek.

Afternoon everyone. Picked up a couple the past week, thought I’d show off one. It’s an old Utica stockman with a punch. It’s a little bigger than my Case I like to carry.
Hope everyone has had a good start of the week.

Picked that Utica and a Case last week. Utica made a good knife. Don’t think they’re doing much as far as slipjoints now.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I haven't posted in a little while, but I have received a few more knives in the mail...
Working on my "knives from around the world" collection, I have a fun lockback from Villmarks in Norway, a beautiful Grohmann single-blade knife from Canada, a stylish Maserin from Italy (I already have a Wenoka, but couldn't resist this one), and a nice little pen knife from Turkey marked "Sürmene". I also got a really cool Jezzine figural knife from Lebanon, which I think is gorgeous, even if it is not very functional.
I now have knives from 39 different countries...working on a few more, but I'm starting to wonder how many more countries have actually make folding knives.
