Edit: just saw your other post ID it as a pen trapper. ::tu::

Thanks, woodwalker. I had a small number of knives even back then, just not all at the same time because I traded with other kids a lot. Somehow I held on to this pen, probably because it was one of the few knives that I got new. I would wish I'd held on to more knives but then I think about the saying: "Wish in one hand & sh*t in the other & see which hand fills up first." I haven't tried that but I think it would demonstrate that wishing doesn't necessarily produce the desired results so I'm happy to have what I've got.

Colonel, I dig that baby, and love the 80 year experience. Great looking knife.
Couple days with this Camillus Cutlery Co Sword Brand 1941-46 equal end with some Rogers bone. Not quite 80 yrs, but getting close. The blade is thin and wide enough to make for a very thin behind the edge profile and very easy to sharpen, much more so than my thicker stock blades. Love this old steel.
Why thank you sir! Ain't no flies on that one of yours either!

It's been a while since I've had this one out. There's just too many to carry even half of what I've got.

I'm very happy with my new pen trapper so far. ::tu::
I particularly like the swedging and the muskrat-like clip blade.
Usually, I carry a trapper and a regular jack but this knife has the best of both.

What's the overall length on that, Ken?
I'm not a trapper guy only because of the long spey blade. Just don't care for it that much.
But yours? No spey, I like it!
And I'll like it even more if it's 3.5 to 4 inches

Outstanding combo. That Sig is mighty nice in its own too.

That is just too cool that you have kept that little pen for that long!! I know what you mean, I wish I would have held onto a lot of different things when I was a kid. But glad for you that you have so many memories with your little pen. And thank you for the nice comment on my old 72. :)

Yes sir it's a second gen 72 with Rogers Bone. Sure like to carry and use it but I am mighty careful that no change or keys goes into that pocket with it! Thanks Doglegg for the nice comments on the old gal!! :) I got a first gen 72 but it stays pretty and out of the pocket!! :)
