My Queen City knife arrived, posted on the thread I started in search of more information...
Also arriving today was this old Washington Cutlery jack won in auction off the bay. Didn't do much other than light cleaning and oiling. Pretty neat knife, not sure on the history of it but the blade shape and bone caught my eye. Any other info on age or other is greatly appreciated!

Been waiting for this little Kabar 1092 for 8 days. It made a tour of the Southeast, started in West Liberty, KY, went Lexington, KY, then to Louisville, KY, then to Oxford, MS, then to Jacksonvulle, FL and finally to Chipley, FL. Computer says it's 637 miles from West Liberty to Chipley, the Kabar took at least a 1500 mile trip in 8 days. Tracking is always interesting. :)
I have a Kabar 1097, 4" bird eye stockman. It is a used knife but I just like the feel of it. Saw the smaller 1092, 3 1/4" on ebay and was able to make a deal with the seller. This one has never been sharpened but sadly has some rust spots that have stained the finish and the handle on the mark side has a crack at the rocker pin as does the larger one. :(
Just something about this style that I like.
Would be a great Sunday knife!

Well here I am again with another whittler that is tearing me up to part with. What is my weakness when it comes to whittlers? This one is a Robeson made by Queen. The fire engine red handles are just beautiful. The ringed bolsters are a touch I love on a knife. This one is a split back spring construction and snaps like a gator. What a great knife. I have it listed in my store but it might be joining my pack soon. I try to be disciplined and not keep everything, but man these are a weakness.

Sharpnshinyknives wrote: Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:08 pm Ripster, those Maher and Grosh knives are over the top aren’t they?

I got a new one today. Madmarco is influencing me. This is a CRKT called the CEO. It’s designed to be worn in your shirt pocket like a pen and it’s just about the same size as a pen. The slender blade is amazingly sharp. The carbon fiber handles are really nice looking. It will deploy out completely with a little practice. My fear is that when it moves out and my thumb slips off the thumbstud and the blade is not fully deployed, I will slice my thumb. Not a knife to hand to a friend to try out, unless you carry bandages with you. I think the slender design works against it if you have fat thumbs. Still, I really like this knife and intend to carry it.

Edit to post, the handles on this are not carbon fiber, they are glass reinforced nylon or GRN.
Saw this Monday and ordered 1 from the Zon , got it today and like it so much that I ordered 4 more.....
