I keep thinking about what you said on polishing up one of those Case Straight Razors and giving it a try. I've always used a double edge safety razor all my life. My beard hair is just to thick for a smooth shave with a disposable or an electric. So I've always stuck with the safety razor. But I just might give it a shot some time. Some of the razors are from the 40s and 50s a few from the 60s.
The Gem single edge, far right, 3rd from the bottom may be over 100 years old. Gives a great shave.
