I ain't that far from you and I wear a wide brimmed hat every day, pinch front western, pinch front Ausie, fedora, Panama, Mexican straw, one of my Stetsons, i have a hat wardrobe. I even have a straw hat with the Baltimore Ravens logo on it. ::poke:: If someone makes a less than polite comment I reply that it's not my fault they don't have enough sense to keep the weather off their head. Mush heads don't count in my book, not wearin' a hat is probably how their heads got mushy. ::rotflol::

Sas, I totally agree with you on hats. I would show a couple, but I am in the pic's so nobody wants to see that. Now here is a nice hat, Wyola, Montana, year c. 1940. And a couple more pic's with hats of yore.

Some nice history there Tongueriver! Most of my hats are 3" or 3 1/2" brims since I came east. I find them suitable for the territory. When I was still in Arizona I favored 4" or 5" brims so I'd be carrying more shade around with me. ::tu::

Here's a candid shot of me and my eldest son at the Great Pumpkin Massacre a year or two ago. My daughter-in-law is sneaky with that camera! The hat is a wool felt Ausie Outback pinch front that I've just about worn out.

I’m a lover of hats myself! Usually while working outside it’s a Tilley of some sort, but I love them felt, wool, and palm straw hats too!
