what is the rarest case knife you have??

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Nearly my whole Case collection is fairly late model ... my oldest are '80's era Damascus peanut & a mini-trapper with pen blade (not the more common spey blade). Both snap closed harder than any late model Case I have ...

John...I've always liked the look of Damascus blades...definitely some craftsmanship involved and they're beautiful knives to put up!

I really enjoy seeing and reading about all these hard to find Case knives. Here's one I've posted in another thread...but it also applies to this topic. It's a WR Case and Sons copperhead with Rogers bone handles. It's seen some use...but it's an honest knife. Very rarely do you find this pattern in the antique eras...as a matter of fact, this is the only one I've ever seen...and is definitely the rarest Case knife I have.
Thanks for looking...and keep posting more knives!

Does that mean you don't have a rare Case knife? If that's where you're going with that, me neither.

If your picture just didn't post, here's how to do that using the "Drag & Drop" method ==>> http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... 98&t=48417

 Ken, no I posted a picture of this one a while back in knife lore.

This knife is very special to me, it originally belonged to Robin Olds, I bought it from his daughter along with two other pocket knives he owned.

For those who don't know who Robin is read this:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Olds

The man was a real American hero and I am grateful to own the knife and be able to preserve it for posterity.
