Re: Old Knives with Rare Tang Stamps
Here is a rare one with a hard to find stamp. This is a recent upgrade that I chased after for a very long time. This is a WW2 Stevenson U.S.A. with factory edge. Some say that it could have been manufactured by Robeson due to the style of can opener, screwdriver/tab lifter, and punch. This knife upgrades another that I have which is also in pretty nice condition. These are tough to find and very pricey in any condition. I believe it to be the hardest to find stainless military pocket knife of WW2.

Also, here is an Alfred Williams Spanish American War c.1890's rope knife. It has the less common fully written out "United States Navy" deep etch...

That's as nice a Stevenson as one is likely to see.
Now you need one marked "STEVENSON 45".
Want mine?

Re: Old Knives with Rare Tang Stamps
Absolutely beautiful Stevenson 45. That one is nicer than mine. Mine does not have the factory edge and has a little carbon staining. I still need a Camillus 1949 and a nicer 1962 than the one I have. Know anyone to trade with? I have an extra 1957, Stevenson USA, Stevenson 45...Anyway, I will save it for the trader.

Here's one I found yesterday.
TERRY
TOLEDO
O.
4-3/8" closed. Broken back spring on the clip. Might take a stab at fixing it.
I can't find any reference to this manufacturer.

A pocket knife is still an intimate personal possession of the individual who carries it and consequently deserves the best of materials, finish and workmanship in its production. (Quoted from Boker's 1928 cutlery catalog).

WOW those are some jaw droppers, what a group of Bokers you have. The variety and quality leaves little doubt they were one of the leading cutlery companies of the time.thegreedygulo wrote:I've posted these in other topics, but they will fit in here as well.

Thanks guys, the bone is really nice, the knife has suffered from rust and being buffed but it is still very tight with excellent snap and no wobble.
