This is a skinner made by Lone Wolf knives in2007 then embelished by David Yellowhorse. It was a gift to me back in 2008. It's not something I would buy but it is done up nicely. I real feel that all the Native American knife embelishers have saturated their own market with overpriced knives. I think it would be better to see a creation from Yellowhorse done start to finish instead of using every Tom, Dick and knife companies pattern ideas. Anyway take a look at this knife and tell me what you think.
Thanks,

That is one sweet Yellowhorse, wasu! ::tu::

Welder Bob, looks like that top edge is sharp too, bet the tip is like a needle point. ::nod::

Sasquatch, does that knife have a metal star on the pommel? Pretty sweet knife. ::groove::

How about a "boys" fixed blade knife!

This one is made by Prov. Cut. Co. and they called it the "Safari."
Gotta love the cut-out in the sheath for the blade stamping!

Also gotta thank 313 Mike for pointing this one out to me at auction.
Thanks Mike! ::handshake::

That's a beauty ::tu:: How do you like the Kydex sheath? Does it have a good hold? I'd like to get one for my BM30 but I wonder if it would scratch the knife?

Here's a Marbles Ideal that's 8 3/4" long. It's actually close to the same size as my Western Boy Scout knife and a 9" CASE 365SAB. I'd like to know more about it if you can tell me.
Thanks,

The kydex sheath puts a death grip on that knife and it does leave small, fine scratches every time you remove it.

Great knives everyone. ::tu:: The Marbles Ideal is one of my Grail knives.I'm currently watching one on Ebay, wish me luck.
I suppose Kydex has its place but I loathe it.

Tank I'm right there on the same page with you when it comes to the kydex sheaths.

Here's a fixed blade custom made by Jason Fry down it Texas. He made this one from the leaf spring of a 1958 Ford pickup truck. I've posted this one before on another thread but, hey, I'm quite proud of it! ::smirk::

Wazu, the left facing serif (middle line hook on the "A" in the word "MARBLES" dates your knife between 1911 and 1930. Does it have a 1/2" or 3/8" pommel nut? An Ideal like yours with stacked leather handle and aluminum pommel books for $125-$425, but are you sure it measures 8 3/4"? The largest Ideal I can find measures 8". ::shrug::

I think wazu is thinking knife length and 1967 is thinking blade length. Here is an Ideal with a nominal 7 inch blade, now a bit over 6 3/4 inches, but it may never have been quite the full 7 inches (?). If anyone has an original sheath lying about for this knife I would gladly add it.

Just acquired a Jerry Fisk Bowie, one of my two grail knives. From his early years but already a Master Smith. Mint.

Thank you Tank. What is stunning for me is what happens when I pick it up. Tho the blade is about 91/2 inches it feels incredibly light and is the fastest handling large knife I've ever encountered. I believe it is the balance which gives the knife its' handling characteristics. The balance point is at the back of the ricasso right up against the s guard.

Sorry about that guys! I had a knock-down-drag-out with my photobucket account. As a result all of my pics disappeared. I'm back up and running but I really dislike the new format photobucket is using now. Can anyone suggest a different photo sharing site?

Here is a fixed blade I recently acquired, mint with original box and papers! :D ::tu::

Charlie, nice Scrimshaw Schrade (say that fast three times!) Why don't you take a look at Hunt101 for a photo hosting website? I have been on there for years now, VERY gun, knife, and trophy hunting picture friendly, no charge, and I haven't run onto any limits yet. OH

Thanks, Tank. I'll check that one out too. ::tu::

Thanks for the comment Quick Steel. ::tu::  Those USA Schrades are getting harder to find and more expensive to buy! Especially in mint condition. I found that one in the member stores here on AAPK.
