Re: Empire Knife Company
That is a great one John. I have it's cousin. Here's also a cool little scout knife I hadn't seen before so I snapped it up.

Re: Empire Knife Company
Thanks Joe and Longblade for the nice comments on my lone Empire Jack! Greg that is an impressive collection of Empire folders
How long has it taken you to assemble that 26 member group? Anyway, it is quite amazing to see that many Empires in one photograph. What an outstanding accomplishment in vintage knife collecting

Re: Empire Knife Company
Lloyd it hasn't been that long since I started collecting Empire's. Less than a year actually. It was all started off when I found that bone handled scout knife in a mixed lot that I bought. That gave me the bug and I just can't quit.

Here are a couple more I got the other day. A big 4 14 inch equal end jack and a larger than normal 3 3/8 sterling silver gents 4 blader.

Re: Empire Knife Company
Thanks Joe. They came in the mail while I was in New York City and when I got home I only had about three hours before I had to leave town again so I didn't even have time to oil them up. I am looking forward to getting back and spiff in them up a little.

Re: Empire Knife Company
I posted this Empire in a thread by itself long ago but never put it here where it belongs... called a Large Bullhead in the 1927 catalog cut where Beechtree was very kind to post the background (here's the link with more photos to original thread http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kni ... ad#p494924) - interestingly it had a pattern number on the back of the master blade tang - 066S ... I originally called it an equal-end jack which I imagine is correct but guess Empire had its own name for it - a Large Bullhead
... I have more Empires to post but again I am so behind on photos with all going on for me this last year... eventually once things settle down
I will start a photo rampage
