He doesn't do that all the time. I bought a Camillus 53 from him. I offered a bit more than it was worth but seeing as how it was only the third one I've ever seen................ I don't think he knew what he had. Anyway, he accepted my offer. If you really want one, it's worth a hack. Those come up so seldom that it may be a while before you see one for sale.Tsar Bomba wrote:Love that late bone 72 and deeply envious that you ran one down, David.
The DITWit is still asking over $300 for his (admittedly in original box, but who wants to pay ~$200 for a box???), and you all know how he reacts when you try to talk him out of orbit on his prices.

The phone camera can not do justice. I'll try to get a good picture with my DSLR and transfer it to the phone.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Maybe a "WHAT ARE YOU USING RIGHT NOW" thread. I love looking here at all the beautiful knives, but I think in reality some of them are being carried (maybe) and not really used. Don't get me wrong, I really don't care, like I said I enjoy seeing them all. But every knife I've ever carried and used and I do use them every day never looked so prim and clean without a scratch on it. Lol. How about a "SHOW AND TELL" thread.Tsar Bomba wrote:Oh goodie, yesterday I have to post after Montanaman and today it's a Tony Wood special.![]()

2013 #92 Eureka, wavy groovy jigging, tar/molasses looking bone. Reminds me of dirty Rogers bone or something. Love a good swell center and these two blades.

Since this is directed at me, I carry and use the knives I post. I can't help if you folks have a problem with that. I will refrain from posting pics. Many of you promote posting pictures and being a part of the forum, you just can't win with some folks.kenb wrote:

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
He could be but I'm not so sure Ken is directing that at you. I've had the same thoughts ever since Gino started this thread in 2010. I finally came to the conclusion that some ARE carried but not used but most are just the original pictures from before the owner started carrying them, who wants to take any more pictures than they have to. So grow some mold and keep on doing what you've been doing. You know the saying, "Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and they all stink."Montanaman wrote:Since this is directed at me, I carry and use the knives I post. Edit: In fact, if I'm being completely honest, many years before you showed up on the forum, I had the opinion that this thread 'was' mostly a "SHOW & TELL" thread. These days (like kenb) I've come to the conclusion that I don't care. I just like looking at the knives.

Montanaman, Kindly do not refrain from posting your knives. You are fortunate to be able to rotate through wonderful knife creations. And you will, I hope, continue to share your good fortune with us vicariously thru photos. I look forward to them.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Kris no need for you to deprive me from looking at your fine knives, you ain't the only one that totes and uses beautiful knives although you may have more custom made than most. There folks on this site that never lost a knife, some that's never abused a knife and probably a few who never made a pile of shavings out of a stick, but I sadly or gladly ain't one of them, if I had Benjamin for every knife I've lost, bent or broke, well suffice it to say I could buy some of them customs my own self.
tote'n these today, they may not be pretty but for sure they will be used as needed.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
You cannot judge how someone uses their knives by a picture. Be careful what you think you know about use and photography. I sometimes hide scratches and dings and use marks in glare and camera angle anyway to have a better looking shot. Doesn't mean I don't use them. I use some hard, some moderate, some I only use lightly and keep like new because they're special and I like them that way. I use my way, not anyone else's way. Thought this was common knowledge. And I love a good museum piece like Mman posts and hope he knows some of us LIKE being shown these beauties, we love to peruse them, we wouldn't see them any other way and we don't want it to stop or go to another thread someone else thinks you should post on. Nobody else posts what anyone posts, so it's always nice to see everybody's knives and how they pose them. This whole organization is about showing off knives if some haven't noticed, or don't get this yet. Show on, anyone and everyone, onward and upward, indubitably, irrevocably, ascendingly, graciously...….
