Not Pal. Company is in the most southwest of the northeastern states, I think. Will check and correct if wrong. Yep, as first stated.

Re: Mystery Knife Game
Nope, not Eureka. You are in the right state. According to Goins the company was founded in 1862. The stamp on this knife, not much different from the original, was adopted in 1905. Levine says they were a manufacturer from 1862 until 1920, at which time they became wholesale. Goins says they sold cutlery up until 1944, at which time they switched to home furnishings, and are still in business in that regard. That is all the information I have, other than the city in which they were located.

Re: Mystery Knife Game
Dan, Thanks for the Clues. Without your clues I didn't have a chance.
Its funny but last night I found your clue for Levine in his book but when you said Southwest Northeast state I automatically thought Pittsburgh PA because I am in Southeast PA so I knew I was wrong.
I will post one is a few.

Thanks David. Yes, LF&C is somewhat like Case in that they both have a distinctive “look”. Hard to explain it but it’s there.

Yes-sir Ken, this one escapes me completely... It doesn't ring any bells, except the pen blade does look a bit familiar.
I'll guess Schatt & Morgan,

Re: Mystery Knife Game
Ken, on the photo is looks like the long pull is discontinuous, with part of it being on the tang. Does it actually extend through the tang and just looks discontinuous in the photo? Also, is the name on the tang the name of the importer or the manufacturer (I assume the importer)?

Re: Mystery Knife Game
The pull does not continue into the tang. That’s a casualty of my incompetent photoshop attempt to obscure the stamp.
The stamp is the name of the importer. I have no idea who made it. Here’s another picture that shows the pull correctly.

Nope, not Wostenholm, nor Jos. Rodgers & Sons. (I don’t think either were importers.)
The company had offices in the U.S. and Canada.
