Modded TL-29? Looks great! Hard to tell that, originally, it was a basic, inexpensive workhorse folder.

I'm looking at having Jeff do a few for me. I've got a stainless Camillus Electrician (seems to haven't seen much use) I plan to have similar looking bone put on (seems the one I have got exposed to some chemical--scales on the pile side are eaten pretty badly, and it's a 1990s Delrin knife); the others are Boker. Some guy decided to reprofile the screwdrivers to fit a Phillips screw, but it's a crude job. Thus, I'm having the screwdrivers completely removed and the knives pared down to one-bladed jacks--the knives themselves, excluding the crude mod job are like new with factory edges, thus they are very good candidates.

Got a couple off the bay. A Remington booklet "Things to do WITH A POCKET KNIFE" printed in 1935. A neat little pamphlet about whittling. Cool adds in it and some interesting whittling info. Also a no line Camillus 72. I've never seen this tang stamp before. More 72 pics in the 72 thread.

Beautiful bone on the 72, Floyd. You don't show it open. Is it a First Gen? The "no line" stamps were from sometime in the 1940's - early 1950s. That's just speculation. Don't know any details on them. They're from the "seldom seen" class.

Thanks John. I am very pleased with the look of the bones. It has some good stuff on whittling but the adds are interesting to me too. ::handshake::

Thanks Jerry. ::handshake::

Yesterday's trek to the post office produced these three pocket knives. A Boker U.S.A., wire jack, hawkbill pruner. A Camillus DURA-TOOL and a Camillus 72 (72Y), Yello-Jaket, 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler." Each received an inspection and none of them needed cleaning or anything done to them at all. Here are the pictures.

I just don't get why they usually ask more for the yellow Delrin handled Yello-Jaket 72s and usually they are in great condition as compared to the jigged brown Delrin® editions. Things that make ya go "huh?".

Looks like you're on a roll, Skip.

Got another Seki made A.G. Russell in today. Micarta handles w/ a red spacer. All stainless, blades, bolsters, liners and pins. The only thing not stainless is the hollow pin for the bail, it’s brass for some reason. A very fine old knife.

Yesterday's arrivals, these two Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack, pocket knives. Neither needed any special care. Just a quick once over, some pictures taken and here they are.

:lol: You're right. MOST of his designs are out there and the ones that are on the edge (between "out there" and what we consider "normal") seem to have a few sharp edges that are not on the blade.

Here's the ones I have.
