Well here is what the ole "Post Rider" brought me today. A very nice Winchester Muskrat W40 14027BYB, licensed trademark of Olin Corp. and produced under license by Blue Grass Cutlery Inc and made in China. At least that's what it says on the box. I hate shopping online, it's too easy to get what I want "if the price is right." and sometimes when it's not.

Today I picked this up at the post office. The box for 1/2 dozen Camillus 18 pocket knives. It had some cosmetic issues, but I managed to clean it up a bit.

Got this long awaited A.G.Russell swingguard lockback today. Sabre ground blade, made in 1992 in Springdale AR. Love this bone color and jigging. I thought Fed Ex had lost it for sure, so glad they didn’t.

This one is actually US made, I was a little disappointed about that. Doesn’t have the mirror polish on the backsprings like the Japanese ones have.

It wasn't the mailman, but all of a sudden the doorbell rang and it was DHL Delivery.
The driver had this for me. So I had bought a package of 6 of these knives, keeping one for myself and giving the others as Christmas gifts. At first glance they are very attractive knives to carry on a special occasion or just to display. They are tight, well made and I don't think it will fall apart the first time you cut something with it. You would never want one for EDC if used at work. I looked up the company from the shipping label.

Products are imported by Tento Enterprises, located in Sialkot, Pakistan and then resold. That was the point of origin on the shipping label for mine.
The company imports from the Laguiole manufacturer in France. Then Tento sells them primarily to European dealers and on websites like ebay, that's where mine came from. Didn't have one like that and I'm not disappointed. So my collection keeps on building "Diversity" I believe is the correct PC word. (Really who cares!)

Thanks Dogleg, Garry and Tom. It is one I went a little nuts on, paid way too much. I was in collector mode and not thinking clearly. Wonder what they call that?

This came out of my P.O. Box today. Another Camillus 72 variation, another Schrade 863, 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. It needed a cleaning, it received one. The "before" pictures are here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=46672&start=1740#p777425
These are MY pictures.

Yesterday's trip to the post office produced these three pocket knives. Two CRAFTSMAN 9494s and a BEAR MGC, Scout knife. The two CRAFTSMAN knives needed some cleaning, the BEAR MGC did not. These are MY pictures. Click on a picture to ENLARGE.

Very nice batch, New Windsor.
I need to ask a question and no offense intended but why do you always say 'these are MY pictures'?

Since Ray has already cracked the ice, there's a question I've been curious about for quite some time. When you post pictures of a knife you just bought or pictures in the "It's In The Mail" thread, you always identify the pictures as the sellers pictures. What's the point? Who else's pictures would they be. Certainly not yours, you don't have the knife yet. Just one of those things that makes ya go, "huh?".

Well, since we're getting everything out in the open, my response to your query Jerry, is this. I could google whatever knife that I just obtained, "steal" the pictures and say that they are the seller's pictures. I just want to make sure that I don't misrepresent the knives that I'm obtaining. I really do hope you're not losing any sleep over this.

I get where you are coming from Skip. I never thought of that. But a few months back I found an ebay seller using some of my photo’s from my store here on AAPK. I guess he took my description and the research I did on a knife and he had one just like it and he just accidentally downloaded my photo’s with his. Maybe, but who knows. I suppose if you used the sellers photo and they had taken it from someone else like this it could become an issue.
