Thanks I-Man. I oiled the joints and this sucker has great snap and smoothness but a bit of a nail breaker on the pull, gotta break it in as it appears to have never been used as best I can tell.

sunknife, nice Russell! I've got the one-armed version of that Barlow. I believe it's a Boker product. Pictured here next to a Delrin-handled Boker:

This 8OT got me through the last few days on the road with no access to my knives (or the internet ). The spey profile is so exaggerated it's almost like a rounded "tanto" profile, and the steel takes such a wicked edge that it really can handle most anything. Who says Schrade stopped making great knives after the SW years?
