I'm not used to seeing you post less than 10 to 20 knives in a single day's haul, but still very nice. ::tu::
Do you collect Popeye items also?
I've been meaning to ask you if you ever tried to make pesto sauce from those pine nuts that you harvested?

Stag & Abalone...two of my favorite handle materials. Well done John & Garry with the very fine examples on the Case Barlow and S&M pen knife you each picked up respectively.

Those are some good looking knives Scott.
I see that one in the middle with Popeye on it and I have refrained from buying those type with western stars, cartoon characters, etc so far. My question is, are they favored by a lot of collectors and what price range are they in?

Got these Seki made knives today. Trying to decide if I will sell them or keep them. Tough tough choice. I’m smitten with the mirror polish on the backsprings on all these Cattaraugus knives.

I picked this up at the post office today. Another Allen Cutlery Company, single blade jack knife. This is my first one of this particular pattern. I gave it a mild cleaning. These are MY pictures.

SSK x2, Skip, WillyC, you guys are keeping the postman busy. What a variety.

I got a couple today, a little well loved PAL Cutlery Stockman and an early 72 contract knife Camillus made for Sears. Jerry referred to it as a Kastor List. Pretty stoked about this one. More photo's in the respective forums.

John wouldn't it be interesting to see if it rode in bib overalls or a mechanic's pocket or a cowboys or...… always makes me wonder and imagine a little. As a boy, I used to watch the farmers around Bonham, Texas congregate around the court house on Saturday morning for their weekly meeting of the 'spit and whittle club'. It would fit in perfect with those fellows. Thanks. ::handshake::

Thank you fellers ::handshake:: . I thought the exact same thing when I first opened the box John. It's the golden age of replica air guns. They ain't no slouch either, when I comes to power accuracy. The feller from replica airguns (I didn't purchase it from him) featured a table top and shooting review of it. Did 1 inch groups @ 10 yards, with 10g flat head pellets. I guess rifled barrel makes all the difference. I also have a crosman .22, and no problem putting lead through pop cans @ 50-60 yards with correct ammo. I'll be posting basic reviews of both in the guns thread, when i feel up to it :roll: .
Good stuff ::tu:: .

Happy thanksgiving all! Got a bag of 40+ junk knives from eBay for $60, amongst them there were some interesting finds. Shown below are a bone Vanco Indianapolis stockman, yellow green sparkle Bridge Cutlery St. Louis and what seems to be an antique French knife with horn handles stamped “Variable Poudrille” I believe. Trying to get more info on these, especially the old French one. Any info is always appreciated!
