They date back to December. ::doh:: The suspension is killing me so to speak! ::td:: ::facepalm::
Should be better than Christmas when she finally does send them though. ::super_happy::

Tom, I’m thinking maybe your mother has started her own collection - with you as her benefactor! You may not get them. ::hmm::

Just fished this one out of the bay.

Stamped Carl Rader Solingen with an Ancor & two Flags / MOP / Crest Shield / Pen knife / 75mm or about 3 inches. In good condition. Don't know how old it is. The seller said it's from the 50's. If anyone knows if that's correct, it would be nice to know. Also, does the mop look like it's real? Thanks for looking! ::handshake::

Lovely pearl penknife, Tom! ::tu:: From Carter's guide to German Knife and Sword Makers: Carl Rader was founded c.1880, registered in 1887, and was liquidated on the 23rd December 1971. The anchor and crossed pennants trademark was registered in 1896. So, it is for sure older than 1971, as there is no mention of any other firm buying the rights to the marks.

Camillus Medium Sierra. This will replace the Remington "Remington Racing" version I currently have that is two-hand opening, and has no pocket clip (to cut costs, it was free with a box of .22 ammo in the mid 1990s). It's never been used or carried (I'm thinking this was among those sold off at the closing auction in '08), so I may lock it away, and continue using the beat-up Remington.

The Moore Maker "Roper" is the same knife, but I figure why pay $45 ($15 more than this knife) for 1095? Camillus 440A is tough and holds an edge well. Unlike whatever stuff Acme uses on the Camillus-branded stuff today that's about as bad as aluminum.

I just purchased this tonight. Another Ulster 63, 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. Yes, it's another Camillus 72 variation. When it does finally arrive, I'll give it the once over, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s). It looks like it won't need much, if any, cleaning at all.
