Kevin ... knifeaddict1965 ... had made me a Bomb Target. First pic is the KnifeAddictBomb, and

A beautiful knife!
I was eyeballing that when they were still in business, but at the time it was a bit more costly than I could afford. And now that they are no longer available, even more so!
Take care and God bless,

It has aged well the last 15 years. Canoes are great for showing off beautiful handles. Lovely.

The other viewpoint is the quote by Herman Melville, "It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation” which emphasizes the value of authenticity and innovation over mere replication. He suggests that while failure is inevitable, it's more meaningful to take risks, explore new ideas, and embrace originality, even if it leads to setbacks, than to simply copy others.

I would consider the ACSB on this Marbles Jumbo Trapper a "copycat" since at least it is bone and it has fairly decent amber color. However, compared to legit Queen ACSB, it really doesn't hold a candle, IMHO.

I think the CSB on this Marbles RCSB Trapper is pretty nice; although, it's still not quite as nice as the RCSB on Robesons by Queen, IMHO.

almost a strawberry CSB, I like the color near the bolsters. That Kevin is quite the generous fellow; we are blessed to have him in our community and such a strong contributor in the forums. ::nod::

I agree, Tom...we are very fortunate indeed ::tu::

BTW--I didn't mean to disparage the RCSB Trapper, there's a lot I like about it, e.g., the strawberry red color that Tom mentioned as well as the cool, narrow, double-swaged master clip blade. 8)

You guys are toooo kind, and your generosity and contributions along with several other members here have been paramount to the success of this Great Forum.

I agree with your assessment, Q; it definitely doesn't stack up to the Queens/Robeson RCSB, but I do like the blade design on the main and think the secondary blade and threaded bolsters are pretty interesting as well. I have a tote full of the China made Marbles that I picked up from time to time in my early days of collecting about 20 years ago and was always impressed with the overall quality and handle materials they used. Pretty cool knives overall for what they are.

Thanks again for your kind words, fellas! ::handshake::
