I enjoy Stumphouse mountain tunnel. Back around 1999, a buddy and I rappelled down into the ventilator shaft.
The Isaqueena Waterfall nearby is nice too.

Raytheon built HAWK (Homing All the Way Killer) Medium range surface-to-air missile. Deployed by the Army, Marine Corps, Israelis, Germans, South Koreans and probably more that I am unaware of.

I was in SEMO over the weekend & decided to take a ride back across the river to W. Tennessee where my Dad was born & raised to visit a few family grave sites that have been long forgotten---1st two pic's are my Gr. Gr. Grand parent's grave markers-3rd pic is their grand daughter's marker who raised my grand father after she was old enough to take him back from an orphanage in Dyersburg--last pic is Linna's Father my Gr. Grand Father this grave site is in the middle a field under a large oak tree on ground that was settled by Josiah Browder in the early 1800's--the first three grave stones are all side by side in a small church cemetery 5 miles south of the property

Nice pictures PS.

The plaque on Linna's headstone, is that the United Daughters of the Confederacy? Most of my ancestors, back to my GGG-GF are buried in Jessamine County, Ky. I really enjoy walking through old cemeteries and looking at the head stones. We have an old family cemetery in my neighborhood. Keep in mind that my neighborhood is all residential except for the cemetery plot. Buried there is a Revolutionary soldier, William Carpenter. I am guessing that our neighborhood was once owned by Carpenter. He was the first pastor of the Hopeful Luthern Church whose congregation first settled Boone County, Ky.
EDIT: Never mind, I blew Linna's pic up twice and saw the "Daughter of the Confereracy.

..........t. j., several years ago I was taking pictures in a cemetery near scooba, miss., where lots of my mother's relatives were buried and ran across a small very old round marker which only had a name, and the inscription -"honorable seaman-war of 1812".............

Now that is cool, Tommy. I've never seen a headstone with a "War of 1812" inscription.

Tell me about it Jerry there are quite a few more sites I'm gonna take the time to visit--these four grave sites are in Crockett Co. just outside Alamo,Tn.
Linna was like the Browder matriarch when I was growing up--she spent most her life in Cal. grape country and didn't come home to Tn. till mid 60's she kept in touch on a regular basis my whole childhood

I tell ya folks. Ebay is becoming the bane of my existence. For a bunch of years I carried a money clip daily and actually still have it. I recently decided I might like to try a money clip again, so this week I bought this one off eBay. I'm doing the P-P dance, waiting on it to get here (supposedly Friday). I think it's absolutely stunning. I hope it lives up to expectations.

That's pretty cool, Jerry. It sure is neat when you find something that really strikes your fancy

I've been using a money clip for a couple of years now and find it works pretty well unless you have a lot of singles.
I think that I am finally going to get the Colonial Pilot's Survival Knife Friday, that I won on the 9th. I think the guy is/was having some seller's remorse. Probably thought the knife should have sold for more than $17. I think, though, that it is missing the saw blade, so I may still be looking.

If it has both blades, it should have sold for more than $17 but that's the way the cookie crumbles so he just needs to suck it up and ship it.

Well Jerry I guess timing IS everything.

I was responding to your post showing the bomb sniffing dog "Chip" who had just been instructed to cut only the green wires. Of course, being color blind, Chip can't tell which wires are green and which are not.
Coming to this post late in the game and finding it hilariously funny, I failed to note that there was another entire page of posts that had been made since you'd posted that series of photos depicting the communications between Chip and his commander back in the "dog fort". At this point I can only say, I hope old Chip is OK.

Absolutely! I think that insufficient and crappy pictures were his down-fall

Even with the saw blade missing it will still be a good work knife. A little clean up and good to go

Chip needn't worry. It looked to me like none of the wires were even screwed into the terminal strip. How would a canine even be able to use a wire cutter? Perhaps I am over thinking this…. lololololololol

- Chip Forgot to Wipe
This just in - Chip is fine, here's a pic of him enjoying a fine meal. His reward for a job well done.
When asked how he felt, Chip stated, "I'm glad I could help. But even after saving the neighborhood, I find that someone is always crawling my azzzzzzzz."
