Here is another one that is on the way.....
I don't know WHAT you would call it other than a novelty knife but looks like you pull out one end and the blade folds out.
I thought it was cool because the part you pull looks like the top of an old radio or TV tube.....

A very old Ulster and a "Floating Tube" letter opener.
I think your end cap would be a old tube type.

I obtained this pocket knife today, another Imperial "Longhorn Steer Head." A soon to be, much welcomed, new addition to the zoo. It appears to be in decent condition. The main blade has a wonda edge. When I receive it, I will give it the once over. I will take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Probably off a Power Tube. I don't remember any Signal Tubes that had that connector on top.

Actually, the correct name is: "Electron Tube" within the handle. It does not visually appear as a "Tube" we visually picture today, however, still RCA refers to it correctly as a "Electron Tube" In 1920 RCA began the first commercial "Electron Tube" manufacturing, also called "Vacuum Tubes."

Well, good for RCA. After three times through Basic Electronics, once with the Marine Corps in 1963, once with the US Army in 1964 and once with NCR "National Cash Register" in 1967 (the age of transistors) I never heard it (as I can remember) referred to as an "Electron Tube". It was always just called a "tube" and there were Power Tubes in the power supplies and just plain "tubes" in the signal circuitry. Just my personal experience.

Interesting old tubes gents - my experience was to go with my Dad to the drug store where he would put the suspect tube in a tester and then select the right tube from the rack, a trip home and Dad would “fix” our TV with the new tube. He was an Infantryman (later a Red Leg) so his knowledge of fixing TV’s must have been self taught!

Mike, nice old Ulster Congress, looks to have pretty full blades.

New Windsor, how many Steer Head Knives do you have now? The main blade on your latest is perfect for a rope worker.

Counting the two that I haven't received yet, I have 24 "Head" pocket knives and 4 "Head" fixed blade knives. Out of the 24 pocket knives, 16 are "Deer Head", 8 are "Longhorn Steer Head" and the 4 fixed blades are "Moose Heads."

I just obtained this pocket knife for best offer. Another Imperial "Deer Head" joins the zoo. It'll get a once over when I receive it. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

I just acquired, for best offer, this (probably Schrade made) Craftsman, 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. It's a pattern 9494 and it looks like it's not stamped or marked as such. I found another old bone schrade jr cattle knife but this one has a shapleigh diamond edge stamp. Decent shape, decent price. Should be good for fiddlin' with and toting around.

I swear these schrade jr cattle knives (and the schrade made ulster's) are the most addictive thing I've ever encountered. I think I have a dozen now, and just can't stop.

Been wanting one of these for some time now. This will be my first Hen & Rooster that don't reproduce.

It says Millennium on the shield. What do you folks think, are those bone handles? And is this considered to be a Whittler, a Stockman or something else? What would you call it?

And yes doglegg, it appears to be used and carried so I plan to add this one to my EDC's. I'm a big fan of the animals (chickens) and I think I'll like the knives as well.

Here is one I have on the way..... It is a first gen Uncle Henry 285UH.
It has the "Schrade Walden" tang stamp.... Now, I just need one more (the 885UH) to finish up my first gen UH collection.
It's not too bad, full blades and needs a good clean up.
