This one looks to have a full set of blades. Maybe it will clean up nicely!
And this one comes with a box..... Don't know if it is THE box, but it could be maybe....
My OT collection has a couple of nice additions now!

Nice one Mike.Meridian_Mike wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 6:59 pm Well.... just when I decide you JUST CAN'T FIND a Schrade-Walden 34OT..... here comes another.

I have that sheath, but not that knife. I don't know if my great-uncle lost it, or it went to someone else, and I ended up inheriting the leftovers everyone else in the family didn't want.WillyCamaro wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 12:58 am Next up is a vintage Edge Brand, Solingen Germany, stag bowie. She's in mint condition (sweet), the acid etch is in surprisingly great condition.
I've been wanting a vintage fixed blade for some while now.
Another winner of a knife.
Schweeeeeeet.

It also lacks a shield. I've seen many synthetic and a few bone handled 67 patterns that were not stamped with a number, do you know why they did that?jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:33 pm Very interesting. Long line, bone handled (you don't see that very often) and no pattern number stamped on the pile side tang or anywhere else.Looks to be in reasonably good condition for it's age.

Just shows how observant I am. I didn't notice the lack of a shield. What you're calling a "shorty clip blade" looks more like a sheepfoot blade to me. Opinions??KnifeSlinger#81 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:56 pm It also lacks a shield. I am hoping it'll be good. I can't tell if it has the shorty clip blade or regular.
The shorty clip is an oddity with the main blade that I've noticed on some 67's and other 3 7/8'' camillus stockman patterns. Some of them have a shorter clip blade with less belly that looks like it was intended for a smaller frame knife. These were not sharpened down blades as I've seen them with the factory edge. Unfortunately I no longer have any examples with which to show a comparison.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 3:59 pmJust shows how observant I am. I didn't notice the lack of a shield. That's a great looking knife that you ordered.Old Hunter wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 5:25 pm Skip, your Craftsman looks like a Schrade USA 863 Carpenters Whittler. Maybe one of the Schrade experts will know for sure. I bought a NOS 1987 made Case 63087 Medium Stockman this morning, will see it sometime mid to late next week. OH
Or Ulster. (Theirs was a 63. Same, same Schrade 863.) Those old buggers confuse me so I ignore all that minutia.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 5:36 pm I'm 99.99% sure that Schrade made it. Schrade's Carpenter Whittler is pattern 863 and the Schrade made (Sears) Craftsman Carpenter Whittler is pattern 9494. I now have 7, Schrade 863s and with the one I get today, I now have 6 Craftsman 9494s. Basically, the only differences between the 863 & the 9494 knives are the shields and the tang stamps.
