Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Greg and Keith, thank you for helping thin my herd and for the kind words - you're making me blush  My purchase to sell ratio is probably 25:1 (I buy 25 knives for every 1 that I sell).

Several AAPK members have assisted me in adding to my collection (SteveP, LarryW, TomM, JerryA, Wayne).

Here are pictures of one of Larry's old hand me down knives that made it's way to me. I searched for this specific Case Tested XX 6294J LP for a few years before I found out where it was. Sometimes persistence pays off (and costs a lot - lol).

Here is the AAPK link where it first surfaced in my quest.

Jerry that 25 to 1 ratio is probably pretty standard for a collector But the thing that makes AAPK such an enjoyable experience is the willingness of the more seasoned guys to help out the newer collectors and the guys you mentioned are top notch as well. I just hope I am able to do the same. That 6294J really raised some eyebrows when it popped up on that thread. :D

Great 94J examples Jerry and Larry. The one I have has no shield and is beat up from the feet up. You both have great examples there. Congrats.

Nice pick ups Greg and Ivoryman ::tu::

Larry, your 6294J is very nice ::tu:: and looks like it has never seen pocket time. The jigging is really crisp.

Here is a Case Tested XX 5294J LP. It's not a new pick up for me, but I had it out of storage today and made updated pictures. Since we were talking about 94J's last week in this thread I thought I would post it here.

Thanks for looking.

redrider and Bill, thank you for the kind words.

My understanding is that the Tribal lock is scheduled for release in the Summer of 2017. I have a few Copperlocks and look forward to adding one of the Tribal locks.

I want one or two of the tribal locks too, they are really cool!!! I called shepherd hills yesterday to order one and they said expected delivery is august. They are taking advanced orders on them now, but they do not have all the handle types showing in the computer at this time. they only are showing amber bone and 6.5 bone stag now. I'm holding out for the ebony!!

I like the looks of the tribal locks. I've heard they're going to release it in CV this summer. If so then it'll be a real contender for my dinero.
