Scott, your acquisitions just constantly amaze me. Loving that 3 bladed electricians knife. Can't identify the maker.

OKCA show booty. More to come but photos take time and the solar disc is not cooperating. Old, can't recall how old Dale said, I'll look it up later from the stamp. Orvet Dale passed this one along to me at the Oregon Knife Collectors show in Eugene, OR over the weekend. Utica and I'm into old Rogers lately. Always like a good EZ. And Bullet End Jacks do it for me. It's seen some hard use/abuse and probably has copious tales to tell, but also decades of excellent service ahead of it. Also isn't going to hurt the value to use and carry and enjoy it. Really good snap, and this thing is thinner than a lot of my single blades and I never thought I'd say that. This is about as thin as my Tidioute Bullet End LLEZO and yet has 2 blades, 2 springs, twice the package in the same size handle. Amazing. I can't get over how thin. And the bone, ahhhhhhhh the bone. Never get tired of looking at it, always a different angle and color showing up to surprise you. Thanks Dale and more photos in the OKCA show thread.

Got my Schrade 340T today in the mail. Never thought I could get one of these at a decent price. This smooth red bone is gorgeous. My GEC 97 came two days ago, just now getting the pics taken. This is the Gabon Ebony wood version from Northfield.

SSK, I favor smooth bone in many knives. When it is so strikingly beautiful as with your Schrade, well, that approaches perfection.

QS, Honestly I never thought I would ever pay 100 for a Schrade knife until I first saw this one in red smooth bone. I got lucky and I don’t think I overpaid for it. This should be one that will hold or appreciate in value, I hope.Quick Steel wrote:SSK, I favor smooth bone in many knives. At least last knight i picked up myself a SUPURB knife in coke bottle, warncliff main blade, pen secondary. 3 1/2" closed, black micarta. Probably the best looking knife IMHO i'v ever seen. I leave it at that...

SSk you should be good on that one. $100.00 for her is actually pretty good. I've seen them on ebay for over $300.
BTW if you ever wanted to sell the 97' for a "reasonable" price, let me know.
Oh and i am done with ebay! Can't take any more of their tech issues! I'll stick with AAPK from now on. Just use it for price checking, at least until they fix their issues!

Sharpshiny, some sweet Schrade covers there. Very nice. What year would that be?

I have no idea what year this was made. I only have 3 Schrades in my entire collection. All are bone handles and on only one do I have an idea of what year it was made. Maybe some of the more knowledgeable folks on here can help me with a date. From how the box looks I would say it’s at least 20 years old, but I am not sure.
I take that back, I have 5 Schrades. I also have two Simple Simmons, I keep forgetting about. I keep one in my car where I could get to it if I needed to cut my seatbelt off. Very handy to have around and easy to keep in either a pocket or the center console in the car.

That is part of the 1985 red bone old timer series. You could buy them as a full set with an 8ot, 34ot and 108ot or you could buy them individually.Sharpnshinyknives wrote:Ivoryman wrote:Thanks for all comments on the Utica everyone.

Got behind on posting so here we go. First a NOS Old Timer 80T from our own Wayne Dobbins and some little felt knife pouches from Mrs. Dobbins. Next a little Camillus short line model 40 that someone had polished the blade bevel off of out of the bay, and a fabulous Glennbad 29 mod from Wade. And another Bulldog knife pick out of the bay.
