Sweet! I'm sure you are over it Mike but a white Christmas would be cool in TN.

It would even be cool in East Texas where there is every possibility that we could sweat on Christmas Day!

My old neighbor and friend, Cousin Roy, decided to spend the winter at the Alabama Shores. He left last Friday morning and Tuesday sent some pictures from his deck.
So I went to the front door and took a picture to show him what he's missing.
I know it's just eat'n him up and now he's sorry he went.

Santa dropped in yesterday ahead of schedule and went on his way with a little lighter load. I won't bore you with the other stuff but I had to show the USMC Cribbage board and USMC Cribbage pegs he left.
Well, maybe the USMC Hot Sauce too.

Thanks Blue. I'm real tickled with it all. We play a lot so I gave her a special Cribbage board too and she got a big kick out of us giving each other Cribbage boards.

Don't take this the wrong way, for absolutely no offense is intended.
Not knowing what cribbage is infers that one never served in the U.S. Military.
Cribbage was a pervasive card game and time occupier for those in service.
Fast game, quickly played by those that knew it well.

I've heard of the game, never played, never saw it played. I was in the Army, 65-67.

Funny thing, I haven't once thought of cribbage in roughly 40 years. A major in Nam taught me the game. He was a good guy but I always suspected he was modifying the rules. That is my story for never winning.

We played a lot of Pinochle here in the states. When we got to VN, we played mostly poker. Usually nickel, dime, quarter, half limit. My best buddy was/is from Wisconsin and he tried to teach me Whist but I never could get the hang of it.
I didn't learn cribbage until sometime in the late '70s or early '80s (along with Backgammon). I don't recall who taught it to me but I taught it to Linnea and we've played thousands of games during the past 20+ years. My first set of in-laws were Euchre fanatics but I haven't played Euchre in years.
More than you ever wanted to know about my card/game playing history.

Learned cribbage from my dad, who was career Air Force. Came in handy when I was in also!
Beautiful board!

Base price is only $55,000. If I had a 401K I could take out a loan.

Actually, me too Grant. One of my cousins has a Miata. I sat in it (no room to drive it). Took a shoe horn to get into it and the "Jaws of Life" to get me out. I've driven small pickup trucks since 1998 and they're just right for me.

I am in TOTAL agreement!
Tis far far better for me to climb into and down out of a truck than down into and up out of a car.
That said it sure would be a nicer ride in a car!
