Stop Trace!!..its not too late for you yet..if you find an old ulster cattle knife, you will never be the same. ::woot:: ..besides, you really shouldn't subject your eyes to the hours of gazing at the peach seed or rogers bone handles.. ::poke:: ..while your mind tries to make sense of how a knife that is only 3-3/8in could have such weight and fit your pocket so comfortably.. ::hmm:: ..Some are Schrade Cut Co or Camillus.. ::not_worthy:: ..so you get the best of both worlds..their not very costly.. ::paranoid:: ..so with the words of good ole Pete Hogwallop, I will say..Do Not Seek The Treasure.. ::rotflol::

Something in nicely jigged bone is next. My Camillus ones are going to be rehandled as whatever that black handle material is shriveled up.

Boys there's no use...once you start down the path to the dark side, their is no return...or something like that... ::rotflol::
You said it jd...the call of the clicky ebay is too much to resist, even for the most strong. Me wallet is at any moment going to jump up out of me pocket to wack me upside the head. But even that may not be enough...what is a addict going to do... ::hmm::

Jp it looks the same for me, just tiny toothpicks have glazed my vision. Since getting my custom one in the mail the other day, has ruined me all over again... ::sotb::
Right now at this moment i have a tab open on ebay...you know where this is going... ::disgust::
And beautiful knives guys...especially those GEC's...
4 in 2 days... ::paranoid:: What is happening to us... ::paranoid:: Maybe i am rubbing off on you guys in some way... ::paranoid::

Boy are those bone handles beautiful on that little stockman sgilliatt. ::tu:: ::tu::
I had been watching for a 72 with bone handles and as those old ones are hard to come by I settled on this little special edition.

I'm a big fan of the GEC 48 Improved but with my mitts I don't mind the extra 1/4" or so and I've always like the way a 54 feels in hand. It's big but not bulky, solid but not heavy, and that Wharnie opens up a whole world of uses and pairings the spey doesn't normally invite.

Had a good day. My first Bulldog. An A.G. Russell Wharncliffe whittler, a Schatt and Morgan ivory handled Wharncliffe whittler and a Rodgers Wharncliffe whittler. The last one was a bonus. Got them all from kj (Roland).
I’m smitten w/ this ivory handled one, it’s a handsome knife.
