Yesterday's mail brought this little beauty from Randy's store (#goldpan). Glad to see Randy conquering the bad stuff and back on the forum. Thanks Randy for the quick exemplary service. It's the first Doc I've bought in a long time. These Queen made Doctor's knives are just spectacular and feel soooo good in the hand. If it had a spear master instead of the clip, it would be perfect.

That is a cutie, Jerry. That is one pattern I do not have. Maybe a desire to avoid medicine? One of those would have been useful in my...ahem... college days. ::paranoid:: That was a LONG time ago, thank goodness.

Jerry, I've been collecting the Queen/S&M Dr's knives for some time and have found them to be of excellent F&F, that is, until I bought one with the DFC tang stamp. What a disappointment that knife was. Your Robeson is one that I haven't come across as yet. I'm not usually a fan of that worm groove jigging but it sure looks good on that slender handle. ::tu::

Thanks fellers. It was in Randy's AAPK store and I saw it creeping across the crawl at the top of the screen so don't say you never had your chance. It's knives like this that got me into collecting/accumulating/hoarding. The shot across the bow missed, hit my boat and sunk it.

Today was delivered my Christmas gift to myself: a 2004 Bulldog, a slender 3 1/4 " Stockman with horn scales. The F&F is superlative; exquisite really. Am really impressed with this knife.

Today my dad gave me a better knife than I could have ever asked for, an 8ot that belonged to my grandfather. Apparently my dad found it recently. I never knew my grandfather, so having his knife that is also the same brand and pattern that I prefer means a lot to me. I was more excited to receive this than the last ten knives I got combined.

Congrats Slinger, that's cooler than a new knife. History written all over it. Good one.

That’s fantastic Knifeslinger, congratulations and Merry Christmas. OH

Here is one of 4 new knives that I got for Christmas. This is a Higonokami custom. I have a full description in the Moki, Mcusta, Al Mar and other Seki knives thread.
That handle is Koki wood that has been tapped and the wire is worked into the surface. It’s gorgeous.

Just in is this Solingen Boker Red Bone Stockman. 3 1/4" closed length. Very nicely done: sharp, centered blades/no blade rub, everything tight, no wobble. A quibble: for those who want half stops two of these three blades have half stops but the spey blade does not. Blades have good snap but not ferocious. All in all, a very refined knife.
