Since I been on a "got to get all the Old Timers" kick lately, I bought this here MM89 (Master Mechanic) and it is now safely home.

I sure wish they would have put the shield in right-side-up.....

Here she is....

The 2018 Blade Forum Club Knife is shipping right now; this year Buck Knife Company did the honors with a two blade Buck 301 with upgraded steel and Elk handles. These were ordered in July; my two came today - I pretty pleased with them. OH

Just arrived is a 51/8 in. Red Bone Solingen Single Blade Boker. Everything tight; excellent F&F; pull about 8-applying some quick release.
A couple of more photos on the Boker thread.

Big day. Got the Christmas knife that Jerry gave away and I by chance won. He had a bonus knife in there too. This Mil Tec neck knife along w/ the seahorse Christmas Whittler. The bright white handles are impressive.
I also got my bone handled Dixie Stockman 82. It’s a keeper.

Two Boker single blade Trappers. One in red bone, the other smokey gray. The Gray is very good but I would claim the Red is near perfection. For example, there is no discernible feel at the juncture of the scales and bolster. That degree of fit is not easy to come by.

QS, I havn’t seen that one in a long time, always did like that. Very nice.
My Case CCC Kickstart came yesterday, walnut bone, rogers jigged mid folding hunter.
While I like the idea, I think Case needs to step it up a bit. The blade comes out w/ a bit more pressure than I would have thought and it doesn’t want to lock in place. It’s very stiff. I oiled it and worked it about 50 times and it will finally opened out into the locked position, but it still misses about every 3rd or 4th opening, you have to push it into the locked position to get that “click”. Plus the thumbstud is rough and not polished up much at all.
I’m not sending it back by any means, but a little disappointed in the finished product.
