What is Your Latest Old Schrade?

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Wonderful knife Roger and so hard to find. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Added a decent 837 Whittler, they don't seem to be all that common in bone.

Old Cut Co EZ with some nice blonde bones. Love the old steel for ease of sharpening and character building color.

Great knives. They must have been very popular for a long time; they appear in the first pages of old Catalog E.

Two old ones in the mail today, a mint 294 Trapper, nice swedges both sides main blade and dark bone handles. The other is a large 3 7/8" Cut Co Congress with almost full blades, been looking for one of these a long time.

That Congress is awesome, good score!
