I got these great pliers the other day. They have been used very little, if ever. The edges are still sharp; no nicks or dings whatsoever.
From good ol' Utica.
Nice hand tools you guys.

I went out to do a little Christmas shopping today and on my way home, this red fox ran across the street in front of me about four blocks from my house. It's the first one I've seen in many years.

Iron Hoarder wrote:So what's the life expectancy on those batteries? Are you channeling extra juice back into the national grid? What rate do you pay per kilowatt hour if you buy from the grid? It's all very interesting.

Hi Iron Hoarder,
Battry life is between 10 and 15 years.
All of the power from the 12 (12volt solar pannels) are used
only to charge the 6 X 2volt battries.
I am a lone way from the Grid, that is why I made my own Power Supply.
A quote to conect to the Grid of $58,000:00; helped me to make up my mind.
My other house on the Coast, has 26 Solar pannels going back to the grid. I use no power from them.
With that system, I do not pay for power; and the Power Company pays me about $1000:00 per year.
The Power Company pays 66 cent per kilowatt per hour, for that system.

Great scores!

Maybe Scott has the knife modding bug?
Ken-
Killer system!
I wish I got enough sunshine where I live to install solar panels.
It may power give me enough power to partially power my house in the summer, but at the 45th parallel & in a costal climate; it would probably take longer than the battery life to get my investment back.
It is a really cool system though!

Thanks Jerry for the car show.
As an old car man going back to the late 50’s, that was good to see.
I still have my old 1979 Holden Ute (Pick-up) – 330 HP Australian copy of a 307 Chevy.
In Australia we like fast cars; we also like to make them stop. My Old Holden has late model Corvette Discs, all round.
