Corner of Lanyard Lane & Sheath Street

I carry the same 3 knives, to the ranch, every weekend. A SAK, a Leathermans and a Benchmade Triage. The nylon sheaths were wearing out.
I have a fire truck...it no longer works...but, that's a story for another time. I had some fire hose (not from the truck) that I once thought about making a wallet with...but, that didn't happen.
These can't compete, with the fine leatherworks, of those that have preceeded...but, I'm happy with these prototypes. There are a lot of things I would do different. But, they are pretty sturdy. If you click on them...they will upright.

Recieved a few more patriotic fabrics from my Mom to add to the ones Jim already sent to me so that I can make some patriotic knife slips. Gonna try to get some cut out today so that my girls can sew em together for me over the upcoming holidays.

How are the slips coming along Tom??

Spent all morning getting some cut out of my "patriotic" fabrics. Don't know how many it was. About 15-18 I guess. Still have a few fabrics I haven't even gotten to yet. Now I have to get my girls to sew em together for me.

If you or anybody would like to have a "Slip-Kit" (Fabric cut out, two small pieces of velcro and some step by step instructions) for some special knife they wish to carry without it getting scratched, drop me a PM here on the AAPK. I'll Hook Ya Up! All you need is a person who will sew it together for you. All I need is an address and a knife size. Colors and fabrics would be random unless somebody tells me what they prefer. Brown, Black, Patriotic & others. If your interested, let me know.

It's no big deal. I was going to make up a whole bunch of em & just mail em to you guys without asking but I guess a lot of em wouldn't have ever seen any use so I thought I'd do it this way. Untill now..., no takers, so I guess I made the right choice.

Slips are not everyones style. I like em because I always have two knives plus a pen, a marker and a box cutter in my pocket so it keeps my EDC's from getting scratched up.

Unfortunately, I don't really have any kind of a work shop or even a work bench anywhere so the small stuff I can do is restrickted to being done at the kichen table, garden table, heating room (mini small) or on the couch. No place like a work bench where I could really hammer on stuff or anything like that. But thanks for the Info and link anyways. I wouldn't mind making some real leather knife slips from some sort of thin leather though. Think I'll give that site another look.

Tom, you honestly don't need much room to work on small projects, Bro works at his desk, or the kitchen table.
Store all the supplies in a large shoebox, and tools in a fishing case/small toolbox.
Heck, I even have room to work, in my squashed place.

Spread some old newspapers out, and get a crackin'; no excuse for not starting small!
