That's funny T.J. It made me giggle but I saw that video you posted of you singin' with the band and you can hold your own real well with the chin music.

It's a Model 1874 buckle.
At this point in the game only the Good Lord knows where it has been.

I found these at the flea market today. A copy of Colliery Engineer, a periodical published in Scranton PA in 1893 for the coal mining industry and a printing salesman's sample book from the early 20s full of old ads. The sample book is large format 14" H X 19" W and the ads are well printed.
The guy had a lot of the old coal mining magazines. If anyone wants me to grab some for them PM me.

It is true, paper can be very inexpensive and so informative.
I have a bunch of it in the form of pamphlets and the like.

Yes, Sadly the Printed Word on Paper is a Dying Medium. I guess they call that progress. I read on average 50 plus books a year, also several newspapers and magazines. My wife and daughter are always Bugging me to switch over to Kindle and the other forms of Digital Reading and I say NO THANKS! I like the smell of the ink and the paper when I hold it in my hands. I can almost feel the energy that was used to produce it.

Wow, Mitch, 50+ books a year. That's a lot of reading.
Fortunatly, here in the east, if you went to a book show, you would find stacks of paper and ephemera for sale.
I can't say what it's like elsewhear, but I am greatful to be here (usually) for all the great stuff one can find.
But, yes, all that is falling away.

Amen, brother!

I'm a big-time reader myself, and I just don't ever foresee me sittin' under the oaks while the cows are grazing, and getting into an ee-lek-trohnik e-dition of Louis L'amour!

Yeah, that Kindle would be mighty lonesome on the book shelf all by it's lonesome.
My daughter bought her mother-in-law a Kindle for Christmas last year and asked me if I would be interested. I downloaded the Kindle Reader to my PC and found out, I'm not. Maybe it's because I downloaded "War & Peace" as the free book to test it out?

Hey, IMBand...
An old Friend of mine in Amarillo had one of those in almost the same color with a stong, six pack 340. He could pull the front wheels off the groung about 10" and carry them for about the first 100 yards...

Would you believe that this is a REAL dollar bill? I call it my "Obama Dollar".
My Brother-in-law out in Southern Cal. is an old Truck Driver. He hit a full size dollar bill with a shot of Anhydrous Ammonia, a super cold, liquid fertilized and it shrunk. He said people used to bring him bills all the time for him to shrink. Somebody even brought him a hundred dollar bill. I like my little one dollar bill but there ain't no way I'd do a c note.
