Bought this Winchester cigar jack and this Queen Cutlery gunstock w/ Apache Gold, gold lip pearl and black malachite bands. Beautiful knives both. Always wanted one w/ Apache Gold, and I am a big Winchester nut, love em.

Scott, this is basically your fault. You spoke highly of the Old Cutler brand the other day and of a friend of yours associated with it. I did a little research and found it has 1095 for the steel and that peeked my interest. Found this one on ebay for the horrible sum of $25.99 and thought I would give it a try. Got it today and you are right. What a great little knife. Thanks.

I never realized you were such a sensitive fellow Scott. I shall try to tread lighter and be more PC and discreet from now on. It is a great knife. Know how many different models they made? I've seen 4.

Bought this little assisted Pacific Rim knife as a "money clip knife", plus it has a built in cap lifter. (yeah, and because it has Marine on it. ::facepalm:: ) Got to thinking about it and decided any modern knife with a pocket clip could double as a money clip. ::woot::

Nothing too fancy or unusual...just another Mini Trapper to add to the eternally increasing pile...but I must admit, it was the cool tang stamp that really convinced me to get this one.

Not a bad looking knife ~Q~ and I too would have bought it just for the tang stamp.

It looks better than this slightly scuffed up offering from 2010 I bought in spite of the missing shield because it was cheap, cheap, cheap (<$20). I'm hoping Case will send the appropriate shield to me. The knife may be delivered today.

Q as with most if not all your choices, I like it.
Jerry you are scrounging around in TFL and my muddy water pond picking things up at bottom feeder prices. But yours looks pretty good. Hope to see a picture when the shield is on it.

I guess we'll find out, John. You coulda knocked me over with a feather. It must have been a substitute this morning running the mail route backwards because my mail showed up at 1000 instead of the usual 1400-1600. I received the knife in question along with another one that wasn't predicted to be here until tomorrow.

Cleaned up the Mini-Trapper and it looks better than listed. Contacted Case and they gave me an email address to send pictures and my request for a replacement shield. All done. Unfortunately I forgot to ask them to identify the yellow color of the handles. Let the waiting begin. ::pace::

The other knife is a Case 2012 Tony Bose Swayback Jack - TB62117 with Marigold yellow bone handles. I think I'm going to back off on these unless I get accustomed to the size. The juries still out. Good looking knife though. This is my second one. Bought the first one from Keith (Ozzie Marie) at the Janesville show six years ago.

As most of you know, if you buy anything from Quintus you better clean off a shelf cause you will need it when the package come. I bought the little Hubertus springer that he had for sale with the beautiful stag scales. It arrived with a pocket slip, an A G Russel cloth, a very nice little desk knife and sheath and an ivory tooth designed to be worn around the neck, made by our own Ivoryman. Maybe he will tell us exactly what animal it came from. Wow what a knife and what a package. The original spring in the Hubertus had been replaced by muskrat man so you know it works great. Q you are a very generous man to deal with. Thanks for such a wonderful knife and amenities.

Oh, I almost forgot, not from Q but a little whittler arrived today. It's tang stamp reads L V Knife Assn, Little Valley NY. I think it is from a knife club in Tennessee but not sure. Some type of plastic scales. Marked Germany on one blade.

Jerry, the swayback is one of the nicest more currently made case patterns in my opinion.
