She still looks good after years of use, some of it pretty hard use too.

Does it say made in Alabama? I have one similar to yours, however yours is blessed with a better looking (world class) stag handle

I check in on this thread daily now like I do the diner. It's going fast like the EDC thread, so if i don't respond to your comments it's not because I don't love you, it's because this thread is hoppin' and I'm a scatter brain. There's some bangers being posted every day

I brought a knife in every pocket today on a fungus finding hike. Also the Dad knife on my belt, seen here with moss for Sasquach.

The picture with the orange berries isn't great, but does anyone know what the berries are? I've not seen them before.

Well CxIII, I used my Photo Improvement Specialty Softwear (P.I.S.S.) to take a closer look at your knife

you were right the unmagnified photos do not show the mistakes.... I have brought them up to a higher resolution for the benefit of the AAPK membership to view....

Yes the tang stamp says Alabama. It is also etched Bench Made by Randall Gilbreath and serialized #247. On the pile side the tang is stamped Made the USA 1986. I bought it new as a limited edition (I don't remember how many were made but 500 comes to mind) and there was also a Damascus version (which I couldn't afford). $189.99 was a lot to spend on a knife in 1986 but it was money well spent.

What do you expect from someone who grew up in the middle of a desert? In the future I'll refrain from fantasizing about your location and go back to dreaming of drinking a tequila sunrise in the shade of a saguaro.

Can't be too far apart, I think Parker Edwards was only around from 1984 to 1986. From what I've read Parker sold out to Edwards and Edwards went on to become Bear MGC.
